| right now gracie is really doing well with potty training i was wondering if pull ups are worth it or not because if they are just going to feel like a nappy i dont want to confuse her, at the moment obviously she will be wearing a nappy to bed at night and when we go out in the car either a nappy or a pull up , she is not sure of knickers as yet and just keeps taking them off
so whats best stick with nappies or move on to pull ups whats your experience / opinions |

| I think Laura would be mortified if she knew things had stood still on here. Don't feel bad for posting something normal, it's a relief in a sence!
I think pull ups, it gets her use to the way knickers go on, as in over the legs and up. They are much thinner as well so different in that way. |

| I would deffo stick with nappies, i always feel that pull ups are far too confusing, its like saying tey can pee and poo in their knickers and doesnt encourage bowel/bladder control. Plus they are a complete faff it the do a poo!! xx |

| pull ups seem sooooo expensive too! maybe what mara is saying is right (obviously i have no experience) that they just complicate the message you are teaching her |

| I did start (when I 1st attempted) with pull ups but like mara said, I do think confuses them. So now I stick to nappies. not going to battle again now till summer when shes not iin preschool or at least till shes more settled in there and confident enough to ask them to go. but I do think if you put them into knickers, they wont like the feeling of being wet/ dirty and will learn quicker... thats my theory anyway... says she who gave up on 1st attempt ha x |

| I have some pull ups for Thomas that someone gave me (coz they are so expensive) and he doesnt seem to see any difference between them. He is completely dry during the day if we stay at home and he is just in undies (putting trousers over is another story ) but if I put a pull up on him he wees in it and doesn't tell me or attempt to use the potty like he does in undies. I would say if she is dry for a few days nappy free then stick some little knicks on her and see how she goes. xx |

| When Oliver was first 'in training' lol I still used nappies when out and he went commando at home. I would wait till she's actually got the concept of going to the potty/toilet before you venture into the land of pulling knickers up and down. Just go commando at home as much as possible cos in my experience grundies just got Oliver frustrated, the whole pulling them down before he wee'd got him all stressy. Anyhoo, in that 1st week he was still asking for the loo when out and about, thats when you know they are totally aware and time to risk it with the knickers.
At 1st I used to use pull-ups under his grundies when out and about (we previously used reusables so Oliver was able to tell the difference easily) now he's totally fine with out any, although for long trips in town etc (where he maybe liable to fall asleep in his pram) we still take a pull-up out with us. |

| Im not potty training c at mo but have switched her to those walking nappies-not pulls ups but pampers little walkers or whatever the hell they are called. Only because its easier to changer her and they are pretty absorbent ulike the potty training pull ups which are quite thin i think. When i decide its time to potty train i will probs go into big girl pants with no nappy, (she does get to have em over a pull up atm purely cos it helps hold em up) |

| Chloe's been in pull ups for a while but only because she kept taking her nappy off in the night but doesn't with this. Since we've been potty training I keep her in knickers now, I found it worked better because she's more aware when she does have an accident so learnt quite quickly to use the potty, I put pull ups on her when we go out though x |
