An online site? external hard drive? etc etc
My computer seems to be failing me day by day and I worry that i'll lose everything. I have the first few months on USB pens but wanted something better |

Eeeks I hadnt really thought about this. Iv printed off all I wanted up until just before xmas (must do the rest soon), and they in albums... but then if there was a fire/flood etc they would be ruined. I still have them on my laptop & im assuming most are on FB and i could recue them from there. Virginmedia offer a free back up service but I havent looked into it, must do that this week... or at least put them on to a usb pen. x

they're really easy, you just plug it in with a USB cable and you can save files to it as you would on your normal drive, you just select the right drive, mine cost about £50 and it's good because i don't have loads of space taken up on my laptop x

I was thinking more about an external hard drive aswel. Would feel much better if they were off my computer. I have put alot on my FB for that very reason cos I fear I won't be able to retrieve them of the laptop for any reason. My friends laptop screwed up and she was gutted cos she lost all her photo's of her daughter, she had uploaded some on her FB but she said when she retrieved them back off there they weren't the same quality She started using Dropbox I think its called anyone used or heard of this?

Is it like photo bucket? I only have about 15 pics on there, only use it when uploading on here or a vid for fb. Havent really thought about just putting all my pics on it... surely it would take a week to do?!

I use an external hard drive to back up my entire laptop weekly and have just started uploading my photos and other important stuff to Sky Store and Save. You can get a bit free on Sky but I pay about £45 a year for 60gb of space. I also have my favourite photos of Wil on CD and my parents have copies too. I like to be safe Uploading to Sky is a bit painful too. It is really easy but you can only do 2gb at a time and it seems to take hours. I usually set it running before I go to bed and leave it overnight it takes that long.
