Soz to moan again...dont know if any one read my post about my infected wisdom tooth thats making me ill?
Well ive been on amoxicillin since Saturday and still feel like poo i thought it would started clearing up by now ?

I dunno hun, usually 2-3 days later im feeling much better and am the idiot who stops taking them after 4/5 days as I dont think I need them anymore (apparently im responsible for creating superbugs by doing this - whoops!)

Maybe give it another day or 2 then go back. My granda had to have 3 courses of dif anti-b's before a recent chest infection cleared. Hope you feel better soon x

it depends if the meds are the right ones for the infection amoxicillin never works on me so it could be the same for you

Thanks for the replies. I think ill go back on thurs if its not any better (thats the end on the course) Its just that everyone said to me that i would start to feel better as soon as i took them and i really dont!

Aw my wisdom tooth got infected couple of months ago, it took a good 2 weeks to clear up bleeding killed me

Aw poor you! maybe you need stronger antibiotics? Hope your better soon

Terri if you are worried I would consider going back.....after all you may even be on the wrong antibiotics or something.

i would go back for sure - antibiotics should really be working by 3-4 days and if the infection is deep it can make you really poorly, you might need something stronger to get rid of it

you could try getting some corsydyl mouthwash and swilling it over the area? or warm salt water as well as that will help to kepp it clean xxx

Laura, i woke up a few sundays ago with what i thought was a locked jaw, i can only open my mouth so far, my glands hurt, throat aches n feels closed up and on/off ear ache. Jaw kills and hurts to chew....but my wisdom tooth itself doesnt actually hurt. Ive been feeling really drained from it too.
I have that mouth wash too and have been using that. Think ill make an appointment and go back tomoz then.
Im on 500mg 3 times a day by the way. Thanks for the replies.
