It was the end of our consultation period yesterday. Today we met with hr who gave us the criteria that we're going to be marked on. All in all there are 6.7 of us at present, we need to be reduced to 4. Will get told our scores w/c 28 march.

we get the final figure for our redundancy, i'll get double what i thought so 24 weeks pay ,12 weeks taxable.

you then can sign or dispute, so im going for option 2 still trying to fight for full time pay x

Pinks, that's what pisses me off so much, if I go ill go with 12 weeks notice (that I don't have to work) and a week and half pay for every year I've been there (about 11 years) but it will be on my pt salary, I've only been pt since 20 sept! But I will fight this as I've paid enough to the union over the years.

It's awful at my place too - no compulary redundancy at the moment but lots are going on early retirement/voluntary retirement but we are being told that next year is going to be much worse!!!

Les, I'm sorry things are bad at your place too. We all got invited to a job centre plus meeting at your place. We've been told that we have our funding for 4 years and after this we'll be ok for a while. But I do expect a few lecturer/manager jobs will go at the end of the summer term.
