They always start banging and drilling either 20 mins after gracies naptime starts or just 10 mins before her bedtime at 8pm. They know what her nap times are and only work 2 afternoons a week so why do they have to wait until then to start the noisy work

today they were removing skirting boards and they started at 2:20 cue gracie waking up screaming her little head of shouting no banging stop noise

tonight i put her to bed get into her room and she starts crying inconsolably for 20mins shaking and screaming no noise mummy no noise please!!!

so she now assossiates her bedroom with a load of noise and is scared to go in there to sleep BRILLIANT

this has started off an iraional fear of all noises hoover, washing machiene and dishwasher to name a few. I will be speaking to them again tomorrow for about the 100th time this year already and if that dosnt work im sending marc round.

What age are they? Do they have kids/grandkids? You'd think most people would at least be considerate after 7pm when tots are going to bed.

To be slightly fair to them i can see how accomodating Grace's naps may be difficult. if they want to renevate their house they are entitled to do so, & planning for silence 2hrs every afternoon may be hard... in saying that I suppose they could do painting/prep work then, theyre hardly drilling and banging 12hrs solid so could work round you. x

she only sleeps for an hour, I wouldnt mind but its every day its a mum and her daughter mum is 50's (ish) and daughter is 21 the house over the road was like a derilict house and the guy who bought it asked me what time she sleeps, he does all the mega noisy stuff with cement mixers etc before her sleep then knocks on the door to see if she is up before restarting, these ones are just arseholes.

Normally they do noisy work when they know marcs on nights and sleeping during the day

Yer, It is stupid..but I know they can play music up until 10.30/11pm.

I remember growing up and we had these huge recreation grounds at the back of us and twice a year the fair came, they played their music up until 10.30 and then had only the walzter's and tunes running until 11pm Rolling Eyes

Isn't there a noise by-law there? May want to contact a bylaw officer or the police to enforce it..they ppl may get fined if they don't comply. Nothing worse than noisy disrespectful neighbors hun. xxx

Shit..umm..another suggestion is just trying to drown out the noise for her..running a fan or a sound therapy unit to make it more tranquil in the house. xxx
