| Is anyone having one? We are! We live in a little Close and every year when we were younger we had a Close BBQ, it was amazing and us kids in the close had a fantastic child hood playing out together and we are all still friends. So for the Royal Wedding we using it as an excuse to have a get together like the old days, have a BBQ im going to make a cheesy 90s CD and play Uno haha! Cant wait |

| Im actually a bit jealous sounds fun, reminds me of adrian mole books for some reason too My street is 80% pensioners and it would require half the towns carers to get them out and keep their dignity for the afternoon. We'd need porta loo's and hoists Suppose I could hold my own party for friends but dunno if anyone would come! Btw I really fancy a maccy d's for lunch now because you said about a bbq! |

| we used to have street parties ,,,, i have memories of one , tables and flags for a long time i always thought it was due to charles and di wedding but then realised i was about 11 months old so prob not what i remember i now figure that because my home town won many floral comps ( council go crazy lol ) they were either there for that or for our galas/or highland games and thats why i remember this street party ( i would have been toddler age then ) we had one at the millenium that was nice to see the whole street partake in but ppl move and neighbours dont bother so much now ! i have been in this street for 4 years this summer and i can count 3 houses where i know ppl to talk to ,, we were all moved in at same time so noone really knows anyone here |

| I'm jelous too! My oh us working the whole day and night as security, I might go over with Charlie to see him for a little while. Maybe see if we can get some dinner together!
Our street never did anything like that when we were young, but we were always close!
Plus in my little cul-de-sac my neighbours seem to be ass holes because I'm not a teacher in their particular school! They very much stick together! It's very odd!
There is one neighbour I'll likely visit her girls are similar ages to tommy and Charlie so could be a nice break! |

| Its a shame isnt it that its not like the old days anymore when all the neighbours were friendly with each other. We do have some new neighbour who dont mix but we are going to put a little card in their door to invite them...if they come they come if they dont they dont but atleast we have asked! We have an old video of the close bbqs so funny, my dad was always the drunken loud one |

| We used to have them in our street when we were younger!!
Would be harder now as we live on a busy street and would have to block the main road LOL My sis is having a BBQ though and we are dressing up in wedding attire (ie bridesmaid dresses!!!!) xx |

| Aww sounds like fun. I rememeber we had a few street parties/bbqs at my grandparents old house, as most of the close were fairly good friends. Being that we've only just moved her and hardly anyone has spoken to us i doubt we'll be doing anything like that here. |
