Grrrr! Just come home from work, the sun is shining here and its really warm outside so I opened the back door so the dogs can wander in and out as they please and now the bloody neighbours son has come home and has decided to start shooting his blinking targets with his BB gun and they are pinging over the fence so I have had to bring the dogs in. I shall be marching round there as soon as his parents get back to complain, why should I have to keep my dogs inside on a hot day like this so that he can shoot his fluffing targets. Grrrrrrr!!! Inconsiderate twat!

i hate to say it but he/his family would probably think your being inconsiderate. Could you go and ask that he move the targets somewhere else so that the dogs dont get disturbed by the pellets? seems like a fair compromise?

The issue is hun, that if those pellets hit either of my dogs in the eyes they could blind them xx

oh i know that, thats why i wondered if her could move ther targets away from your garden? that way the pellet things wouldn't go near the dogs? I dont know how big the gardens are so it may not be possible. Its definatly not nice, are they approachable?

Yeah they are and weve never had any problems with them in the past, the son only seems to do it when his parents aren't there aswell, we find them across the other side of our garden as they ping off the fence. xx

Umm..why would his parents allow him to discharge a bb gun in his back yard? How many meters is it away from your yard?

He's only 16 so would feel a bit rude having a word with him, I haven't seen the parents yet, but have picked up at least 7 of the ball bearings from our garden path already and can see lots more too. There is only a 3ft fence dividing the two gardens xx

Hun..I am certain he is breaking the law. Got to either get his parents to either take away his bb gun..or if that fails..get the police involved. Imagine if little Bou was out there playing in her sandbox and a stray bb hit her! Those guns aren't as harmless as ppl would like to think. BB guns are very dangerous and quite a few ppl are killed by them each year. Any gun that discharges a projectile is dangerous...

This is my main concern Jen, like you say this time next year it could be my Lissie Bou that they are pinging over the fence at. I have collected the BB's in a little tub and if the parents don't do anything then im definately going to contact the Police xx
