thats normal on here - you should add them as you go really, rather than add them right at the end But as a little trick if you add them at the end, rather than copy and paste you can do highlight and drag (much quicker) - works on most browsers. Highlight the thing you want to move (so with smilies it tends to be like : blah: ) then click on the highlighted bit and drag it to where you want to drop it (you'll see a little cursor move through the text so just release your mouse button where you want to drop it) You can use that for anything not just smilies |

You can use that for anything not just smilies just testing the drag thing(oh btw it also happens when i quote people) ...ok emoticon added...now to see if it works, littla annyoing mind |

| Ive realised it also a browser thing, some browsers put it where you want, and not at the end.
Im using Orca at the minute for testing and just realised it put the smilie in the middle where I wanted it on another post!
I can't off the top of my head remember which browsers put it at the end and which put it where the cursor is - but maybe give Orca a go - its not very well know by its pretty darn good to be honest! |

When you press quote it just puts all the text in a new message box, so I dont understand what you mean that the same happens as with an emoticon? |
