I think my neighbour might be growing cannabis in his loft - or somewhere in his house!! I was lying bed last night struggling to breathe because of my tonsilitis and all of a sudden i could smell it really bad (i know wat it smells like cos gav used to smoke it quite alot before we had alfie). It was like that all through the night. And then this morning i walked past his house and it was super dooper strong. Either he is just smoking it or growing it but watever its really strong smelling!! Hes a strange bloke - mid 30s lives alone, never said anything more to us than hi, but he always has people coming and going and has friends staying over alot.

Now i dunno wat to do because if hes smoking in his own house thats fine as long as it doesnt bother me but surely if i can smell it through my wallls he must be growing it? I dunno whether to report him to the police but i dont wanna be a grass!

do u know if there are any other tell tale signs that he is growing it that u cud look out for jst so u were a bit more positive?
although if u can smell it thru ur walls and he isnt growing it then he must be smoking a massive amount!!
i really dont know hun id try and find out more info, and if u still think he is growing it then id def call the police, u can stay anonymous!! u dont want to be a grass but u have to think about alfie cos if its so strong he may be able to inhale some (im not sure how it all works lol)

I'd ring crime stoppers, and not leave any of your details, just say you passed by and the smell was strong and then pretend you know nothing about it when his front door gets smashed in !! You don't need that when you've got a baby in the house, but you could be wrong so you don't want to cause yourself trouble, anonimity is the way forward imo xx

Does it smell when its in a plant form? I genuinely dont know. I can understand it smelling when smoked but would have assumed the plant didnt smell.

Yeah growing plant hum more than smoking it, I went to the museam (sp) in amsterdam years ago, which had various varities growing in it and I swear it smelled stronger than the smell in the cafe's, I think because it's a plant smell rather than a smoke smell if that makes sense?

Yeah it smells really strong in the plant form (like if u have a bag of it you can usually smell it through the bag). But if he's growing it, it wouldn't suddenly stink, it would build up wouldn't it? So either he's just brought a load in, he's had a load of mates round and they were all smoking loads of it all night.

We once could smell it in our house and thought the neighbours were growing it, but it turned out the neighbour's son on the other side had hidden his stash behind his skirting board in his room to dry out before smoking it.

As you don't sound like you morally object to the stuff in principle, I would see if it continues the next few days and if it does then have a quiet word like "I don't mind you smoking it but you can smell it from the street"

Good advice thanks Em. Yeah I will see how it goes. Tbh it doesnt smell as much now so maybe he did have a bunch of mates round over night. I dont object to it in the slightest if thats wat he wants to do in his own home - like i said before gav used to smoke it and ive tried it a couple of times.

If it continues i think ill have to say sumamt tho cos i dont want alfie inhaling it!!

hmmmm check to see if he has an extractor pipe coming from somewhere (for the gro-lamps) and weird things like windows taped over. or does your house seem very hot??? that could be the case if he has a lot of equipment. i would go absolutely f*cking nuts if i could smell someone elses habit from my bed, no matter what the habit was!!! (ummm unless it was cooking pizza or summat for me )

Maybe im biased but i would deff report it. You dont need to say who u r . I would be be concered about my kids if it was me and fire hazard if they have lamps etc x
