| Its Tays bday coming soon and I seriously haven't got a clue what to get her, or what tell people who ask what to get her! We've decided to get her a playhouse for the garden (£70) oh and we have got her a little mermaid fish tank (£30) but thats it really, i suppose we are paying quite a bit for her party too....does that seem tight though? The grandparents are bugging me for ideas so is everyone else but if i say toyrsus or Next vouchers they moan lol! Any ideas?? |

| I think vouchers are a great idea, maybe you could buy some garden toys like a slide or trampoline? Ellie isn't two til September which is a bit rubbish as it means I'll have to buy the garden toys now as September will be too late.
Gill, yes will is deffo a boy! x |

| Amelia LOVES her slide. I have it in the conservatory and she would play in it all day if I let her. She likes throwing random things down it like her bunny and her cup! She also likes the dolls house like Lily. |

| We got these and she really likes them http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gruffalo-Friends-CD-Box-Set/dp/1405054115/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1301257978&sr=8-1 She does like the sand and water table and played with it a lot in the summer. She has got the trampoline (she is spoilt by grandparents!!) and if i am honest she played with that a lot less than the other things but i suppose she may use it more this year. |

| Andrew loves cars, aeroplanes, helicopters and trains lol Telly wise he only really likes postman pat, mr tumble and peppa pig. Toys wise he likes to play with ride ons (scuttlebug etc), the ELC happyland sets, his wooden train track, jigsaws are a massive hit, he loves baking and colouring, painting and glueing and sticking He loves garden toys, he has a playhouse, a big little tikes slide and this year we are getting a trampoline and a sand and water tray I think... we are like Pen though they have late august and early sept bdays so will be getting them soon as early bday pressies!! Tbh if there is really nothing you can think of and dont want people to waste their money I would ask for vouchers for whereever! I would rather give someone a £10 voucher than spend £10 on a toy they will just never use or donate! |

| Libby's fave things at the moment are her shopping trolley with pretend fruit/veg in (she's had it since xmas and still plays with it every single day), aqua draw, she's just gotten into jigsaws as well and sat for ages earlier doing a peppa one (she did it all by herself ), oh and her kitchen. For outside she's got a sandpit, it's this one (although I think we only paid £25 in the sale) http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3650543/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CToys+and+games%7C14417629/c_2/2%7C14417629%7CSand+pits+and+sand%7C14417885.htm and she was always in it in the summer xxx |

| Imogen isn't quite two but for her 2nd birthday we've already bought a wooden dolls house (got it in argos £25). She's played with a plastic one at her Grandmas and loved it. She absolutely loves babies so anything to do with dolls she will deff play with, which is great as theres so many extras i can tell people when they ask what she wants. Also anything to do with shopping is usually a hit with Imogen, so till, shopping basket/trolley with fake groceries.. Reading that back Immi is such a girl Don't know if that helps at all.x |

| It's Bethany's birthday on Sunday and we have got her one of the ELC Kitchens and play food, a playhouse for outside, a little gardening set (watering can etc), some books and a slide. Also, last year when she was 1, we bought a charm bracelet and we are adding a charm to it every year until she is 18, so I got a charm for that today xx |

| We bought this for Rowan for his 1st birthday
http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Toys-R-Us/Toys/Preschool-Toys/Sing-n-Chat-Bruin-Bear(0014758)?cm_mmc=CSE-_-ChannelAdvisor-_-GoogleBase-_-0014758&CAWELAID=614539500
But he ignored it. But loves it now. It plays the wheels on the bus, inchy winchy spider, head, shoulders, knees and toes, if your happy and you know it and it talks to you too.
He loves the songs and we all stand together and do the actions. we had a right giggle this evening rowan trying to touch his knees then toes really fast.
And puzzles and flash cards. we bought theses flash cards http://www.amazon.co.uk/First-Words-Brighter-Child-Flash/dp/0769647197/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1301340345&sr=8-1 and he goes through them no word of a lie 2-4 times a day. he loves them. there are about 3-5 cards he still has to be told what it is but he knows most of them. (i have a video of him saying them)
but they were a brilliant buy. |

| Play food is a definite hit here, good for vocabulary, for role play when a bit older, and provides entertainment for us when he identifies the pizza as carrot and the aubergine as banana. He also likes his toy microwave (2nd hand from charity shop, doesn't actually work even if we put batteries in) though he has no idea what it is and just uses it as a box, door opening upwards. The ELC toaster is fun but I don't expect the pop-up mechanism is going to work for long.
Seb has 2 sets of grandparents and 2 aunties, so we didn't spend much on him at all (about 30 quid I think!), but then we give him stuff during the year and we don't count clothes as presents at this age. |

| Oh god kelly ive hdden our bruin bear in her toy box. Id rather spend all day singing it to her myself than listen to that horrendous thing pmsl C is getting a kitchen from my mum (at which point i wil retrieve the play food out conservatory as it can be used and not just thrown), art stuff from my dad, a nurses kit from my sis as she was obsessed by my mws stuff and since me and her aunt are nurses anyway it seemed appropriate, mr and mrs potato head from me and a toy mop/brush from me as shes obsessing with 'weeping the floor and a cd player with a microphone from my dad. Shes also getting a buzz lightyear from neils parents as shes obsessed with buzz too |
