God I'm being so vain _
PostSubject: God I'm being so vain   God I'm being so vain EmptyWed Mar 30, 2011 8:06 am

Rowan had chicken pox a few weeks back. He had a few big spots one on his forehead. He did not scratch any of his spots and was really good. But this one on his head is like a dent, purple and that it's now ampermant scar bang on his forehead.

Will it stay purple?

He is still perfect little boy but I feel bad for hating that this has scared right on his forehead.

I know I'm being silly and I know this will annoy many of you and I need to snap out of it.

I don't think I understand what I even mean

Awww, bless you.

Dont worry, my nephew had his 'mummy pox' on his forehead, right in the middle, and it left a mark for a while, but you wouldnt know it was ever there now.

My MIL scratched Aimee's face quite badly last year an she had a purple scar on her cheek for ages, and I never thought it would go. After about 2/3 months it did go.

I know what you mean, I always worry if Cerys bumps her head or has a scrape with the floor (has done a few times) that she may be left with scars. Her skin is so perfect and I want it ti stay that way. Not too sure on chicken pox scarring though sorry xx

aww hun, i wouldnt worry it should go, but if not a scar is something to talk about when he older, i cut my head open on the tv unit when i was 2, and i still have scar but only if you know its there, its in the middle of my forehead too, but you cant tell.

russ has way too many for me to mention and its a good talking point.

but i know what you mean, rich has a small scar on forehead from when he fell and hit a plug socket when he was about 18months, but you cant tell if you dont know its there xx

Oh no, the nasty pox spoiled your Row Row. I understand honey. Imogen had a thick lip for days after she fell off a chair and banged into a table at nursery - I hated it, it was like someone else's child in my house Sad

if it does scar it won't stay purple, in a few years it will probably just be a faint mark if anything Smile

It's just as you've all pretty much said his perfect little face and skin and he's this angry looking scar on his head.'I feel so bad for feeling like this as there are worse things. I've got one of my face and hate it so maybe it stems from that

Imogen had chicken pox in jan and had a bad mark on her jaw. She hadnt scratched or anything. It looked purple for a while and i was convinced it would scar but you can't see it now. Hopefully Rowan's will be the same. x

Hannah banged her head when she was 9 months old which left a huge bump. it never went away or shrunk in size and it is still there to this day.
we have been to doctors and they have said to monitor over time and if it still doesnt go away we have to go to a specialist and possibly have surgery.

some days its smaller than others so we have decided against surgery but I know how you feel. you dont sound vain and I doubt anyone would judge you.
