That is so so sad. I appreciate how people don't want to eat meat, etc, but ffs, your child's health comes first - every time.

Bloody idiots
My cousin is vegan and her 5 year old son is being brought up vegetarian. A vegan diet is not suitable for children and IMO veganism is not what we are naturally designed for. To quote a colleague of mine if we were meant to be vegan we would have 4 stomachs
It was a bit uncomfortable but mildly amusing when said 5 year old tried to help himself to a salmon sandwich at our family Christmas party

It is very sad, even if they were misguided in their beliefs about the diet it is shocking that they ignored the docs advice to take the baby to hospital
