| [quote="snoopy21" Im trying to make more of an effort though as lately I feel like a bit of a frumpy mummy. Wana lose weight, do my hair and make up more often and be a MILF by my bday in July [/quote] I'm the same hun! I've made an effort to put on make-up and straighten my hair so i feel a bit better about me! It takes me about 5 mins to wash my hair, Then i put conditioner on and leave it till i'm done shaving etc, my hairs really thick as well so it needs conditioner every time! Drying to be bone dry takes about 20-25 mins ish, But straightning doesn't take too long, say about 10 mins, because my hair is very straight anyway. I cant leave my hair more than 2 days or it goes greasy, on the 3rd day i have to tie it back or its horrible! |

| at the moment mine takes about 20mins because im using a shampoo then a treatment (left on for 10mins) then condioner. I normally just let it dry by itself unless im going out that takes 15mins max and then ages to straighten atleast 30-40mins so i again i only do that if im in the mood or going out xx |

- Char, you are my hair twin!!
I just got mine cut to shouler length but before that it was halfway down my back, it took about 10 mins to wash and condition, 15 mins to blowdry (fine hair but loads of it) then over an hour to straighten My hairdesser recommended only washing it about once every 5 or 6 days as it gets dry and frizzy really easily, and she said its best not to overwash dry hair as it will make it worse. So you're not a tramp at all!
My hair is a real white-girl afro, it's a nightmare! Now it's shoulder length it takes about 5 mins to wash, 10 to dry and about 40 minutes to straighten, but as long as I don't get rained on and if I tie it up for showers/baths/bed it stays fairly straight, or at least wavy until the next wash. Couldn't go through that every day!!
I reckon we should post a pick of our freshly washed and unstraightened afros, I bet mine would be the biggest by far!
hehe i think your my hair twin too!! i have a white girl afro!! do the pic thing, bet ill win hehe xx |

| I hear ya Çhar (and Kat!) Mine is just ridiculously thick, have always seen that look of exhaustion on hairdressers faces and them stretching their aching arms when blowdrying. I do warn them but it's like they think I'm kidding, 20mins later they see what I meant. Id say it takes 15 minutes minimum to wash, if I did a mad rush I could do 10 I think. Then if I tried to dry it straight away it would take half an hour and probably still feel damp so I let it air dry as much as poss (like, hours!) then finish with hairdrier for 5-10mins. I gave up on straightening years ago, as well as being thick its bloody stubborn - I'd have to do it it layers to stand a chance of it taking effect - at least 3/4 of an hour and even then it'd start kinking all over! By which time I would be thoroughly ticked off Oh, and it's only a longish bob at present... |

| oh i share your pain.
I takes about 10-15 mins to wash mine too. erm drying i don't do as it makes it even thicker. so i leave it to dry. that can take over a day, and thats with my hair down!. the top and sides will be dry but the underneath will still be damp/wet.
as for straighting it takes so long i do it once in a blue moon. but takes me on average an hour and a half.
I had my hair cut to my shoulders as i got so flipping fed up with it.
i never go to the same hair dressers as i dont go often and i've usually moved by the time i go to one.
and the same line gets said every single time.
"you have got so much hair, it's so thick" I have not once been to a hair dresser that has not said this.
I had a full head of highlights done and they said i'd be there two hours, 30 mins at the most. i walked out 5 hours later!!!
so i dont go often as i hate sitting there for so long |
