As many of you know, my dad was taken down really poorly with a heart infection.
He was admitted to hospital over 2 weeks ago to have antibiotics put directly into his heart six times a day. He had a heart scan yesterday and they said that the 'foreign matter' on one of his valves isnt budging and it should have gone a lot more by now. So he has to stay for at least 2 more weeks

They can continue the antibiotics for upto 8 weeks, so can do 6 more weeks. If the foreign matter hasnt budged by then, they need to hurry up with the open heart surgery, as there is a risk it could dislodge into his bloodstream and cause him to have a stroke!
His valve is already looking knackered anyway, but they need to get a proper look when this stuff isnt covering it - if it ever goes.
Its horrible to watch, my dad is a 'young dad' iykwim, and its like he is just wasting away. He has lost so much weight.
