just noticed on my cousins homepage that she received an email from them regarding tax
she has called them to find out that the mail is indeed not from hmrc and is infact a scam :(so just thought would let you all know just incase you get one x

i get them loads in my jusnk email if you click the link it asks you for your bank details

I love it when they send these emails to me seeing as how i havnt worked for the last 3 years how can i possibly be entitled to a tax refund ejits

i get at least one a week of these too, but they go straight to junk mail Smile

i have never had one from them Smile hence why i posted lol its new to me ,, i have however nearly been caught out by the paypal one , it looked so legit ! thankfully i chose to call them and enquire first

i get ones from santander and hsbc ? ,,,, telling me my account has been frozen /in jeopardy etcetc , i dont bank with them Smile

i get them too Michelle, have also had them from Halifax who i do bank with but use a different Email address.

I get them too michelle! And I don't bank with them, my account is full of scam emails of some form or other! They all go in my junk tho, makes you wonder why the email providers let them even get through as they know they are all fake!

oooh i get all kinds of banks, although i did get one a couple of months ago that was genuine from santander, it was weird, they texted me and rang me and stuff too though. i get loooooooooooads from paypal just now

Hmrc have an email address to forward the scam ones to, it's on their website. Trouble is I'd have to tell my email account it wasn't junk first in order to forward it, then I'd get all the rubbish in my inbox instead of my junk folder.
