| I always find i sing the same songs with Jack and was wondering if anyone had any different ones to share. Obviously the usual 'Twinkle, Twinkle' 'Row Row' etc A new one which Jack loves from playgroup is 'Sleeping Bunnies' All the kids lay 'asleep' on the floor until we sing the 'hop' bit, then they jump/hop. (obvioulsy) Goes like this; See the little bunnies sleeping, till its nearly noon, shall i go and wake them, with a merry tune, they're so still, are they ill? WAKE UP BUNNIES! Hop little bunny, hop hop hop! Hope little bunny, hop hop hop! Hop little bunny, hop hop hop! Hop, hop hop! |

| yeah, row row is a big fav. But then there are about a million verses. Have you heard them all? here are Sophia's fav verses:
Row row row your boat gently to the shore, If you see a lion there Dont forget to roar OR Gently up the river, If you see a slithery snake, dont forget to shiver (or with polar bear, or penguin in winter) OR sail sail sail your baot out into the bay, If you see a pirate ship, sail the other way OR Row row row your boat, Gently down the brook If you catch a little fish, Let idt off the hook
The pirate ship is my favourite one! Anyone know the submarine verse? Mys siter told me it but I forgot
The latest song i heard at a playgroup was:
A big red bus (pretend steering with a giant steering wheel) A big red bus (same again) Mini, mini, mini (pretende steering a wheel that is two inches wide reall fast!) and a big red bus (giant steering wheel) Ferrarri, (sweep one hand back over your head really fast) Ferrari (same again) Mini, mini, mini (tiny steering wheel) And a big red bus (massive steering wheel)
Sing at least twice and fun to play with the speeds of the verses!

A-Ram-Sam-Sam - to the tune of a pizza hut a pizza hut...
A-Ram-Sam-Sam, A-Ram-Sam-Sam - pounding fists on top of one another like mashed potato move Goulie Goulie Goulie Goulie Goulie - Winding your arms around like on wind the bobbin up Ram- Sam - Sam Arafi, Arafi - Arms up and down Goulie Goulie Goulie Goulie Goulie, Ram-Sam-Sam!

| The submarine verse is
row row row your boat gently under the stream ha ha fooled you I'm a submarine
My favourite verses are rock rock rock your boat gently to and fro splish splash, splish splash into the water you go (I tend to throw Wil sideways at this point)
row row row your boat gently down the stream throw your daddy in and listen to him scream
Wil likes the lion and crocodile verses best and can do very good roars and screams at the appropriate points.
We also do wind the bobbin, wheels on the bus, grand old Duke of York, happy and you know it, head shoulders knees and toes and Peter Rabbit |
