| I took Amelia to the park in Ellesmere Port today and I made some observations.....
Amelia was the only girl in the park not to have had her ears pierced. Even tiny baby girls had them done.
I was the only mother with her own eye brows and not wearing fake tan.
Amelia was the only appropriately dressed child, wearing Jeans, long sleeved Tshirt and cardi. It was nice and sunny but the wind was cold. All the others had strappy tops, skirts and sandals. Poor buggers must have been frozen! |

| Same at my local park, although its really warm here in the sun, so lo's needed lots of sun cream but didn't notice anyone else bother, also really don't like ear piercings on babies, doesn't seem right |

| Some parents just don't think do they? Last week its was just starting to get sunny here but the wind was still quite cold and I saw this mother walking down the street with her toddler in little shorts and a strappy top..she must have been so cold, cos I was and I had a little jacket on |

| Im so glad you said that the other kids must have been freezing! Its so sunny here, but its not proper hot yet. I left Caitlin at her granda's this morning for a day trip to the zoo wearing jeans, long sleeved t-shirt and short sleeved jumper over it. The zoo is at the top of a mountain and imo always blowy/ a bit nippy.... When I arrived her 2 yr old cousin is wearing a short denim skirt, bare legs and a strappy top.
I was beginning to feel a bit sorry for Caitlin that she was going to boil/look silly!
I packed suncream too banarama - prepared for everything me lol! |

| Which park did you take her to Lisa? Whitby Park used to be okay (opposite the EPIC) I am totally unsurprised at your observations. Were any of the parents above the age of consent? Half the parks in The Port got closed down when I was a kid because the druggies used them so they weren't safe for kids. NB: to everyone else: I grew up 3 miles from where Lisa now lives |

that was the best of the lot when I was a kid. I still have the scar on my knee from falling off the roundabout on my birthday when I was 9. I guess you don't notice these things when you are a kid. Lesley - I think Widnes and Ellesmere Port people come from the same original stock so I am not surprised. |

ha ha ha, im sorry lol, I had to read that twice before I realised you meant you dont bother with ear rings. For a min I thought you were advocating kids getting their ears pierced young and had taken a moral stand by disowning your dad! |

But going back to the OP...some people just don't have the brains they were born with do they?! Poor children XX |

| Useless bit of information but in some culture's it is traditional for babies ears to be pierced by the doctor delivering them. |

| It was really hot here today and Aimee was in a summer dress. I had to keep her out of the sun in the afternoon though as it was too warm.
Earings? I just don't get why babies/little girls have it done so young. Aimee is never getting it done, poor bugger x |
