Am suffering with pretty bad PND , not a hour goes by without me breaking down in tears, struggle leaving house but hate being in, tension headaches etc, had it after my 1st but fell preg again 4 months after 1st was born so came straight off anti D's and didnt get the chance to recover, went straight on tablets when youngest was born but OH made me stop taking them as they made me snore and kept waking him up Have tried st John's wort, they didn't do anything but only took one pill a day - does anybody know much about herbal medicine who could tell me if I should take more of them or is there anything else I could try ? Sorry for the feeling sorry for myself post, i'm not after sympathy lol just hoping somebody has been like this and knows what i should do

I've been doing a it of research myself as my doc want to give me anti d but I refused and looked for other ways to help. To reduce and minimize the worst effects of depression and stress, the B vitamins is required in sufficient levels in the diet, though other nutritional supplements and substances are of equal import in this regard. The manufacture and normalization of various hormones in the body requires as a cofactor the use of the vitamin B6 or pyridoxine, a depletion of the essential minerals such as calcium and magnesium in the body.malso exercise can help a great deal so I have taken up running again and it does make you feel better and gives you a bit of time on your own xx

Ah hun, I really feel for you - I had pretty bad pnd after Milo was born, and the only thing that helped was going on anti-d's/anti anxiety pills. When i found out I was pregnant again, I stopped taking them and I still have days where I really struggle..I'm not sure about any natural remedies, but -and I really really don't want to offend you here! - but your oh wanted you to stop taking medication that was helping you because it made you snore? If you're crying every hour and feeling that bad, i would be tempted to say to oh, that it might be a bit hard for him if you're snoring, so sometimes he might need to wear earplugs/sleep in another room which would be inconvenient, but nowhere near as bad as what you're going through!! You might find you don't even snore if you start the tablets again, I'n sure he would support you if he realised how tough it was for you! Hugs to you, i've been where you are so pm me anytime if you need to chat or rant look after yourself!
