I would be grateful if some on you ebay regulars could give me some help/advice/information as I am a complete ebay beginner. If you can believe it, I've never bought/sold or even had a nosy on there.

But I'm looking to sell some of Bethany's old clothes as the house is getting taken over with all her old clothes plus I want to sell my maternity clothes.

I've got a paypal account so I've got that angle sorted.

Could you take me through step by step what you do on ebay including do I have to set up an account on there, do I set a reserve for items or invite offers, how long to I have stuff for sale before I sell them, how do I know about postage and package charges etc.

Sorry if I sound mega thick but as the title says I'm a virgin Embarassed

xx

If you have a look at the options on the top of Ebay page. Click on Sell and it will explain everything and how to go about it - good luck xx

Yes you will need to have an account.

Apparently things sell better as bundles than individual items. Best to package together and weigh stuff then look up postage costs on line first, so you can include this info in your advert xx

Oh I'm told auctions are better to end in the evening and in the week rather than on a weekend when people might go out and forget to bid xx

i sell a lot on ebay, once you've set up an account its quite easy to start selling, make sure you're really accurate in your listing, mention things like loose threads, bobbling etc.

I usually make sure my auctions end about 8pm, always seem to get more that way, I charge £2.50 postage for most items and £3.50 if selling heavier items like coats.

Sunday evening is the best for ending auctions in my experience.

I usually check whether there are loads of people selling what I am planning to sell before I do it to see what postage they are charging and when their auctions end.

I find 5 and 7 day auctions work the best but for clothes you might as well do a 1 day auction because there are so many very few people will look beyond one day to go so yours won't get looked at for days anyway.
