Night training _
PostSubject: Night training   Night training EmptyThu Jun 30, 2011 7:36 pm

Didnt think id be asking this for a while but C has been dry for about 8 of the last 10 mornings now and at 630 comes to the gate and asks for a wee then does a HUGE one.

Im ordering her a mattress protector anyway but ive currently been putting her in asda easy up pants for nighttime and shes now full time in big girl pants during the day including trips out we just take spare trousers and pants with us.

Ive got about 25 easy up pants and 25 of the huggies character potty training pull ups left and im not sure if i should play it slow and keep putting them on her til i run out then see where we are or just give it another couple days til the protector arrives and if shes still dry put em away and leave her in nowt at night.

Shes been doing so well im not sure if id push her into to much too soon or if by leaving her im holding her back so im doing the whole mummy indecisiveness. Any thoughts?

She's doing fantasticly well!

I'd leave her with the pull ups at night until you're 100% (or nearly 100%) sure that she isn't going to have accidents. In my opinion night time dryness happens when they're ready and there's not much we can do.

My son was really slow with nights and I know he was dry at night but he used to piddle as he was waking. He soon started to be aware of the morning piddle and eventually managed to get himself to the loo in time. It was all very stress free for us all Smile

jaiden was really slow with the potty stuff but he got the hang of it just b4 he was 3 then about a month ago he had a PJ day and when it came to bed time as he was already in his PJ's I just forgot to put his pull ups on 1 night and he stayed dry and we havent had them back since Smile I have a big towel doubled under his sheet and a cover over the matterss I leave his potty in his bedroom still and he gets up in the night has a wee and gets back into bed but thats not very often he usually sleeps through

So id say leave her pull ups on till u get the matress cover then just go 4 it Smile XX

What a big girl well done XX

Hum well!

Ended up being something like 3 accidents in 2 weeks or 4 accidents in 3 weeks I have kinda lost count but either way shes going stretches of 5-7 days dry so i asked her tonight what she wanted to do and she said no nappy. So mattress protector is on bed with sheet over top and a towel on top of that and shes in light jammies that are easy to whip off quick should i need to make a run to the loo with her, tommorrow gonna broach the subject of a potty in her room if it goes well as thats the real sticking point with this-she will ONLY use the toilet.

Guess ill let you know how it goes

DRY!!!!!

She went to bed at 745 and musta dropped off about 830ish as we heard her playing. She woke at 630 and asked for a wee and did a big un in the loo and bed and trousers were bone dry Night training 633833

So she got a present this morning of a buzz lightyear cushion. Clever wee girl. Looks like big girl pants in the day and nowt at night from now on then. Am sure we may still have the odd accident but am very proud of her for doing it so quick, shes really surprised me.
