| Ok - so Abbie has a dressing on the top of her right leg. She wants to feed herself and refuses to be fed, however she is very messy LOL!! Yesterday I fed her mainly dry foods, but I can't do this everyday. so today she had chicken curry with rice, followed by yoghurt, as you can imagine she made a RIGHT mess!! . She puts it in her hair, ears and everywhere!!! So it came to cleaning her, I wrapped her in a towel and hung her over the bath and washed her hair (which she hated and it killed my back), then a let her wash her hands and arms in the sink herself (that bit she loved) and sat her on the side and let her swish her feet in the sink. Then I sponged her down everywhere else. So my Q is - is there an easier/better way to wash her down at night time until she can have a bath, or am I doing right already?? xx

| OMG I've only just caught up on what happened to poor poor Abbie The poor little soul! You should deffo make a complaint and claim on their insurance, disgusting!!! Back to your question, I think you're doing her bath the right way. Like you say she'll probs hate having her hair done over the bath but I can't think of a better way! xxx |

| sounds like your doing a great job to me! or you could lie her on towels on your kitchen side with her head over the sink to wash her hair as it will not strain your back as much? i wash lilly in the morning using a bowl of water and a flannel, she lays on her front and back (she has baths in the eve) hope it helps a little xxxx |

| stupid as it sounds, can you not buy a shower cap, make a hole in it to put her leg through, covering the dressing, seal it up(rubber band?) and let her bathe normally?? it's gotta be hell on your back the way you're doing it |
