as some of you may have heard ( on the news ) there has been issues with my local RAF camps 1 to be shut down and the one on my doorstep is under threat ( thanks mr cameron )
anyways there is a big march happening on sunday ,, a friendly protest in order to try and save our town and those surrounding us ! expected turn out to be a few thousand
obviously there are going to be ppls children there would you bring yours ? ,,, it has been given the go ahead by the local police so they will be attending but there will also be news people there a plenty oh and a burger van ( i aint had a burger van burger in a long time lol )

would you bring your children ! ,, my OH was medically discharged from the raf and we hope to go ,, more so to try save our town ,,it will become a ghost town if these 2 camps close

saying that apparently richard branson wants to do his moon trips from the one a stones throw from me , that could be fun lol !

WELL WE WENT TO THE MARCH AND WHAT A FANTASTIC TURN OUT ! VERY FRIENDLY GOOD SPIRITED AND NOT A SPOT OF BOTHER Smile ,,,,, AM SO PROUD OF EVERYONE THAT ATTENDED Smile

No I wouldn't

I have been on 'peaceful' marches before, and it only takes one stupid sod to mess around and panic/running can start - I just don't think its the place for a small child personally

I'd take them, therell probably be other kids there! If it starts getting rowdy you can always take them home, plus it's a nice lesson to teach them, fighting for what you believe in! x

Saying this though I've never actually been to a protest so I don't know how quickly it would turn if things got a bit chaotic and rowdy x

its not as if i would be miles from home its a 2 min walk to where the rally starts ,,,,,ewan mcgregors brother flew tornados at our camp and he is going to be there amongst many a politicon ( sp ) so i imagine that it will be well thought out
thinking maybe going with the older children and leaving little one with a friend x
but any sign of trouble ill be out of it ,,, would hate to think of that happening as well cos i believe its for a good cause x

I wouldn't either, there's always a small contingent of people that will go just to cause trouble and don't even believe in the cause.

I agree with Lisa on this one. I know at the first sign of trouble you would try to get out of there but what happens if you can't? I dare say people that have been injured at rallys before thought to themselves that if anything bad started then they'd be gone but it's not always that simple unfortunately so I would have to say no, stay at home and be safe x
