Anyone taken it? Did it stop your periods or make them lighter or shorter? xx

I took it but it didn't gree with me and AF was all over the place and when I stopped it I bled for 3 weeks x

Me I was on it from having Caitlin until Jan there.

It stopped my periods. Well 90% of the time. Think I got breakthrough bleeding first month and then settled well. I would have had odd breakthrough bleeding every few months but thats because im a knob and would forget to take it for 4 days in a row and then get AF and remember about it! If id taken it everyday im pretty certain I would have had no bleeds on it!

Its quite good to as when I stopped taking it it took 10 wks + for AFs to return... and then I get pg 1st cycle . If I missed 1-2 I didnt worry about getting pg too much as it seems to build in your system. - Bet someone replys saying they got pg on it!

Id go on it again after pg. My moods were ok on it too.

Oh my goodness! Shows how different everyone is. I didnt get AF back for 10 weeks, bled for 4 days and then got pg that cycle. I cant believe you bled for 3 weeks!

i had it when i was bf didnt get a period but whether that was due to the bf more than the pill im not sure!my moods were fine on it

yep I was on it before Tyler and then up until Jan.

I did bleed on it but not at first was period free for a fair few months and then would normally have AF every 6 ti 8 weeks. When I came off in Jan I had periods every 2 to 3 weeks until I got pg lol.

I'm on it, I havent had a period since december 2008 :-o

I've not long been put on it and I started to bleed this morning!!!

I took it from 2005 until ttc at end of 2008. Had irregular but light bleeding for 3 months then nothing at all until about 3 weeks after coming off. I had a panic about no AF and my boobs grew a bit so did pg test (work at fam planning clinic so was easy to arrange, and free!) and dr said no AF meant not ovulating so deffo not going to get preg. I liked having that longer window of forgetfulness if I didn't take it, knowing I was still safe. It only took 3 cycles to conceive after coming off it so pretty good return to fertility.

i can't remember which pills i was on now eeek but all of them either disappeared af or made it very very light (as in 1-2 days light). ahhh that was bliss but it made me fairly fat and crazy so not so bliss

i've just started it last month...no period so far...most people would LOVE that, but it's driving me bonkers not knowing if or when i will have one...spent the last few days freaking that i might be pg cos dr never told me it would stop periods and no info leaflet in the box

No, Im on lygynon and cant rec enough, its one you take everyday, Ive even lost weight on it which i know can be hard on some pills, bleeding so much lighter and hardly any period pains.
I went back on microgynon after Hannah (id taken it for 3ish years before coming off and taking 18+months to get pg) and all I did for 4 months was bleed was shite! so came off it after deciding to ttc again and had a month of condoms then fell pg straight away with J next month.

I'm on it, started taking it after having Theo, so nearly 2 years now and no periods! I absolutly love it, no other side effects for me either

I am gutted then, I was told I would have no periods on it and 2 weeks after starting it I am having a normal period!! Lol xx

It was like that at the begin with me too, then after a few months my periods stopped to about 3 a year. Trouble was when i was coming on my body had every pregnant symptom going! Came off it for that reaon.

Maybe it's not fully in your system?
I've it a prescription for this pill, I'm not sure I wanna take it now tho lol!

I wish there was a magic wand that could take away AF as i dont want more kids lol xx
