| Just wondered what you all thought really. Imogen is 14 months and still has a BF on waking and at bedtime. She doesn't NEED the booby to go to sleep but it's easier all round if she does fall asleep on the boob Aside from that she has cows milk a couple of times a day, 4oz of growing up milk and yoghurt and cheese most days too. I had gastric flu last week and was very dehydrated, lost half a stone too, and I've noticed BF is less comfortable now. It's like Imogen is having to work harder now. I think it's time to change but I've got so set in my routine I'm not sure how to change! Imogen is used to going straight to booby on waking so I can forsee some tantrums - age kicks off if I try to change her nappy first! What do you all do in the mornings? Do you creep around getting breakfast ready before waking your toddlers up or do you just let them play for a bit? It's more awkward because we eat in the living room so can't really do any other getting ready while Imogen eats. Argh!!! |

| either you put this in the wrong place or there is a very odd photo in this post somewhere to answer your question, im not sure, it sounds like you are ready though. i sometimes feed eli if he seems hungry on waking, but sometimes he is happy to scamper about for half an hour while i fumble around making food |

trust you snoops! ava stopped overnight as soon as her teeth came through and she refused to bf, in a way I was lucky she adapted really well. I now give her a bottle on waking but then she has her porridge half an hour later, she's very hungry first thing . |

| The funniest thing is I was looking for it earlier and couldn't find it and just figured I'd not actually posted it because I was half asleep and feeding Imogen whilst writing it! |

| i am a bit nervous about when the time comes for eli to give up - he has nearly 8 teeth now and showing no signs of stopping - having said that he will drink milk from his cup so maybe try giving her some milk from a cup first thing (as in...have it premade in the fridge/a carton out at room temperature next to the bed so its really really quick to grab?) |

| Niamh was a bit like that, I had to stop bf at 10months, because of her milk allergy and my gall stones, when I finally managed to get her to take her formula I used to get a abottle ready, well I'd put boiling water in a abottle and leave it in one of those special bottle holders that keep it warm, by the time she woke up it was the correct temp and I'd pour the powder in, which I'd measured out and put in a dispenser, I left her longer each morning before I gave it her, now she'll wait for her breakfast and doesn't have a bottle first thing.
You'll be surprised how quick they adapt, we put Niamh in Oscar's room for the first time on Tuesday. We've been putting it off for ages cos we thought we'd be in for a few weeks of unsettled sleep, but after the second night its fine, you just need to control your own fear, that's the hardest part! | That sounds like a good plan. I'm keen to get her off formula too so she just has cow milk, but she's not keen on that straight from the fridge so we could move the formula one to waking time and swap the bottle for a beaker of cow! |

| Oscar still has his cows milk warmed, I just micro it for 50sec, so much easier than formula, no chance of that with Niamh in the foreseeable future tho :-( |
