Where do you cut/clip your nails? I thought everyone did it in a tissue? I usually get a cpl tissues and sit on my bed or the sofa, clip them all into that, wrap the tissue up and put it in the bin. Done. Stuart yesterday I caught about to clip his nails into the kitchen sink. After swallowing my vomit I managed to persuade him not to.... so he took himself off to bathroom sink, which is still gross imo but better than the kitchen! Today I told him his toe nails resembled claws and to please sort them out - NOT in the sink! Well iv just walked past the bathroom were he having a shower and hear 'Clip, clip clip'. He is doing them in the bath! Iv said to him why doesnt he use a tissue but apparently they fly everywhere and to him thats more gross than down the plughole. Stuart has bad eyesight, plus our shower/bath doesnt drain right so I know they going to be floating about. Im going to have to bleach the bath tonight as its making me so ill thinking about it. Am I weird? Is it normal to do it in sinks/baths????

Ewww no!! Defo not in the sink I do it sat on the floor with my feet on newspaper and I always sweep the floor afterwards as I'd hate to find stray ones. Yak!! I screw at hubby if I find one his his nasty stray ones. Sinks are for washing dishes (or faces if it's a bathroom one) wouldn't like skanky feet germs in them, gross xx

Hubby cuts them over the toilet and flushes them away. Mine rarely seem to need cutting. I don't know if they don't grow much or they break off easily.

I just do then on a flat surface too, collect them all up and bin them. I wouldn't put them down the sink/bath/loo, would they not get all clogged up over time?

The sound of nail clipping goes through me like nails down a blackboard so I am sitting here cringing. The reason for my issue with nail clipping is that my mum does them whereever she happens to be when she decides they need doing, at the dinner table anyone? I do mine sat on the floor with a magazine spread out to catch the bits. When I am done I scoop up the magazine and pour them into the bin. The bin has a bag in it so they are well contained. My OH is his usual 'special' self on this one. He thinks nothing of cutting his in bed. He claims he collects them all up afterwards but he never gets them all. You would think he would learn too because one night he woke up with a jump screaming because he thought a spider had bitten him (he has a spider phobia). It turned out he had rolled onto one of his old toe nails in the bed.

I sit on my bed with the bin next to me and then bin them one by one. The next nail doesn't get cut until I am sure the clipping has gone in the bin (rather than finding it crawling around the bed later on ) OH always has a pile going on his bedside table I can't touch them though so I have to hoover them up.
