i got a call from my brother today..his gf is pregnant...but she's 16weeks!!!
she went in to have a coil fitted in jan, just a day or two before my wedding, as she has alot of problems in that area...she was supposed to have had a D&C and PG test done first just to make sure there was NO chance she was pg...
over the last 6-8weeks she's been feeling sick and headachey but assumed it was side effects of the pill....well about 6weeks back her and my brother finally started 'doing the deed' again and a couple of days ago she got leaky boobs, freaked and did a test...positive!!
thinking she was only about 6weeks they set up an appointment at the EPU...they did an internal and confirmed she's pregnant...but 16weeks, not 6! and the coil she had put in..isn't there
so i'm going to be an auntie again...although i'm not allowed to say anything...am so pleased for them...although she didn't want more kids(has 3 from a previous relationship) and did consider termination until she found out how far gone she is

can you poke a coil???? god, if i ever thought of having one before i certainly don't think it's a good idea now! and what about the pg test! and the d+c?????
