| will you be buying your little ones an easter egg ?>
my boys came back from their grans ( their dads side of family )with 5 eggs each !!! flipping 5 !!! i was going to opt out of buying them one as i think 5 is too many as it is but they wanted an egg from me as its easter ,,, i chose to buy them a basic one , they were £ 1each in asda and they get 2 caramel eggs with them ,,, if anything like last year they will be out of date before they get chance to eat them all !
for little miss just because i felt bad i bought her a milky bar egg , i dont really give her choccie but it is easter and she will get a little bit now and then
i am going to request that danielles side of the family and my dad refrain from buying the children choccies for easter
will you be buying yours eggs or choosing a different gift instead ? |

| ummm i'm not planning on buying elijah one, and me and hubby don't deserve any because we have eaten at least 5 each this year already stupid offers. mil sent eli a book but tbh i don't really agree with easter presents - we aren't christians and although a bit of chocolate is nice i don't think it needs to be replaced by a gift or money.....i really think that's a bit much. but that's my personal opinion |

| Our family are all quite good and buy Aimee a little toy rather than an egg. We stressed when she was born that we didnt want her having tons of eggs at easter as it wasnt fair if she wasnt allowed to eat them (dodgy ticker and all that). My mum has got her one, but I asked her to get a choc buttons one as its the only one she will get. My MIL has got her a 'grow your own garden' set which has little seeds in so she can grow some flowers xx |

| We've just got Moo a Disney Cars Tub (its got little mini eggs and mallow in so you hide them and do a wee easter egg hunt) but thats cos he wanted the Cars tub lol
He's got loads already from various playgroups and friends so to add on family aswell I think thats enough. We don't really do the whole easter celebration though tbh. |

| we got ours, russ as his normal thorntons, rich has yorkie and i got galaxy.
my dad will buy him one and bro and sil will too, we dont see any other family at this time of year. although if bubs comes early we might and he will get one from his little brother or sister too.
he normally gets a dvd too at easter, but he has had a new bike of little brother/sister so thats enough this year.
we dont withold chocolate or anything, its all in moderation and having watched his sugar intake for years we know how much he can have. |

| OHs family have bought my two eggs (they have 5 each) but my family have bought clothes etc instead. I'm a bit like Mari in that I don't think an egg should be replaced by a gift but tbh I think my family just use it as an excuse to help me out without me feeling like a charity case bless em We wont be buying them anything because we are skint and they already have loads of stuff. We will take them out somewhere for the day and do a mini egg hunt in the garden xx |

| Imogen is sick if she has more than half a bag of buttons so it's a bit of a non-starter for us. We've bought her We're Going on a Bear hunt but she has it already as we don't actually celebrate Easter, it was just an excuse for a present (like we need one!)
No doubt an egg will come from my mother and a ludicrously expensive dress which will be worn only once will come from MIL! |

| We're getting ellie an egg, she's a chocoholic! I've also bought my other two and oh and me am egg.
I don't believe in alternative presents either as it can get out of hand and really expensive. |

| OH and I were just having this conversation and he now agrees that we are not buying Wil anything for Easter.
We are at a family bbq/ party on Sunday and Wil will come home with easter eggs, toys, clothes and who knows what else from my extremely generous and large extended family. He has already had a pop up rugby post and ball and a light up bouncy ball from my parents under the pretence of Easter.
Like Lily Wil's birthday is close to easter and he gets stuff all the time anyway so I don't think he needs any more while he is so little.

| EEEEKKKKKK you have just reminded me i have 4 eggs to buy for my neices and nephew, me dont buy much just a choc chick/cow etc Its Ediths Christening on sunday so i have been too wrapped up in that! my mum gave the girls £10 each but its gone into our holiday money tub with our spare change etc. i wont get the girls anything cos, they will have enough from other people, that sounds a bit mean but for a start they are too young to understand and alice eats enough chocolate without easter as an excuse. Poor Edith on the other hand doesnt get any so it would be a bit one sided lol |

| Niamh's birthday falls on Easter this year, and she can't eat chocolate unless I buy moo free, which costs a small fortune, so she will make do with birthday presents and special party food I'm making, including chocolate rice crispy cakes, with the aformentioned expensive chocolate! OScar has got 3 eggs from us, plus a couple from family, I'm quite glad tbh, he shouldn't feel so jealous of Niamh getting birthday presents and a party if he's got stuff too. I think Easter is about chocolate, I used to love it as a kid having an egg hunt round the house, I'll do the same for mine when they're old enough to understand, so next year for Oscar, Niamh will have to search for jelly or something tho lol |

| hannah doesnt really like chocolate. shes a weird child so no we didnt buy her an egg. she got some playdough and bambi on dvd. I am also doing an easter hunt but not with eggs - I picked up a tiny rabbit teddy, an easter colouring book, some easter stickers and some jelly rabbits. shes already had an egg from one of my neighbours which my oh ate. it was a smartie one and you should have seen her face (she hates them) she seemed outraged that someone would give her smarties! |
