Haven/Holiday Parks _
PostSubject: Haven/Holiday Parks   Haven/Holiday Parks EmptyThu Apr 21, 2011 7:55 pm

Hey, just wondered if anyone could help. We havnt seen Mil and Fil since Xmas now and i really do not fancy the 7-9 hour drive all the way up there and they dont seem to make an effort to come down here (plus with live with my mum atm so they couldnt stay with us) So was thinking of meeting up somewhere half way-ish and stay at a Haven or somewhere similar.
Any ideas where we could go or where is half way-ish (prefer closer to us lol Wink ) Between Brighton and Northallerton/Middlebrough???
Also when do the kids go back to school and break up again? Dont want to go in the holidays!

Half way is probably Derbyshire/Leicestershire/Nottinghamshire

The Peak District is beautiful and there is loads to do there. How about getting a cottage for a few days.

These are fab and we have stayed there a couple of times with Frostie in tow so great for dogs too. As long as you can crate Tyson you can leave him in the cottage while you go out too which a lot won't allow.

There are a couple of good pubs nearby too that are child and dog friendly.

Norfolk coast is great for holidays, we are going to Sandringham for a week in July but is out of the way for you - a good hour off the A1 to the East.

If you decide to go to the Peak District I can give you loads of ideas of things to do and places to eat. I love it there. We are going next weekend.
