| Ok I'm traveling to my mums Friday using the M3 then the M25 clockwise (north past heathrow)
I'm not going anticlockwise (south) as I will have to get pass blue water, lakeside and the dartford crossing/tunnel which I don't want to do.
Trev says I'd be best getting on the M25 for around 10am
Do you think this is a good ideas? He says because the wedding starts at 11am most of the traffic heading to London should be there. It's just me and Rowan on our own going and really don't want to end up in hours of traffic with him on my own.
Any advice and tips please |

| Do u want to watch the wedding? I think it would be best to go as the wedding starts. Defo avoid Dartford! Good luck im sure Rowan will be fine, weve travelled from Bton to Middlesbrough with Tayla x |

| Where does your mum live?
The section of the M25 from Heathrow to the M1 has major roadworks and is a pig at the moment.
Take a sat nav (if you have one) and a map and if you get stuck just come off at the next junction and go across country.
The alternative is to set off before 7am and then you should be fine. |

| The M25 is a nightmare whatever time of day or night.. Is it not possible to leave late Thursday night - say between 8 and 9 pm.. that way most of the rush hour is dealt with, you could come South and tolls at tunnel are free after 10 tunnel is never busy between 8pm-10pm just after 10 they close a tunnel so bit busier but moving traffic... |

| I'd go northbound and aim to leave about 10.30. That section is quietest around 11, there are some roadworks on with 50mph average speed so it will take a little longer than normal |

| I'd say 10-10.30 should be the best time to go. x |

| My folks live in Wickford Kelly so just the other side of the A127 from yours.
I would just prepare for a long journey then and stop en route if you need to. There isn't really an easy way.
We are heading to Butlins at Bognor Regis next month and we have a similar dilemma because it is about the same either way. I think we are going to go for Dartford though and avoid the roadwords on the western side |
