ok a bit soon I know.

now I've not taken any for years as we'd been trying so long with Rowan. how ever when i was i took the pill then the mini pill. neither agreed with me.

now after bubba is born i'll be BF so i dont want what i take to effect her or my milk.

i do not fancy the coil at all.

was thinking the implant? what are your thoughts on it. good or bad please.

and whos best to talk to about all this? as we want to sit with someone and discuss it properly. OH said he'd get the snip but i dont want that.

thankies

at my docs they have a contraception clinic once a fortnight i think, the gps take it in turns to run it, however they are always booked up weeks ahead so i just went through my gp n made a normal surgery app, she talked everything through and decided to have the implant which she did there and then Smile x

My gp referred me to family planning where I was able to discuss with a doctor...I went for the mirena coil which I had fitted six weeks after Oisin was born...I have to admit that it has been great so far, I know everyone is different but I defo recommend it especially because it's a localised release of hormone so doesn't affect my mood etc

it doesnt hurt no although i got a bruise day after Rolling Eyes which was a bit ouchy
I have found from people i know experiences with the implant vary greatly, some love it and dont have a period for months at a time whereas others bleed on and off and some even have it taken out cos they dont like it

Personally i have bled on and off whilst having it (typical) but not to the point i have considered having it taken out, simply because i dont fancy the coil and dont trust myself to remember to take the pill Smile so guess i have just put up with some side effects, saying that i was told off gp that if it made periods irregular i could be prescribed something to regulate them while having implant just never bothered going back

Overall i would recomend because five mins in docs surgery and your covered for 3 years, but just be aware you might get side effects you may not like Smile xx

doesn't the implant affect bf??? i thought you could only take the minipill if you were bf...i wasn't really listening though cos i had already decided i wasn't taking any hormones Laughing

maybe condoms is a bit old school but it will give you some time to think about it? im not keen on having chemicals in my body just now, so didn't want to go on the minipill.

sorry, that was totally useless reply Laughing
