| Whenever I say i'm not sure I could have another my mum and sister always say its good you had your difficult one first. Worked for them but I do always think what if the next one wants constant attention, rarely sleeps and eats frequently but also screams all the time whereas Jamie's quite happy. Anyway Amandaplus2's Reply to another of my threads (Jamie's asleep on me so can't move) made me wonder how many people had a shock with their second baby and how many found it so much easier |

| Caitlin im hoping was my difficult one, not sleeping through till well over a year and screaming constantly for 1st cpl months due to allergy. Im due an easy one! I'll let you know in a years time if it happens! But yes, I suppose I can see the theory behind having a difficult one 1st. If Caitlin had been a docile little thing who slept through from 4 weeks I dont think id be as realistic or prepared about how hard having another will be - but then are you ever fully prepared until you experience it?! |

| one of my mums friends today told me that if your first is eassy the second will be a nightmare.. this is true for me and my sister.. I was an angel baby and my sister was a nightmare (and still is!) Tyler wasn't completely easy - he never napped in the day till he was about 6 months old and even then it was only for 45 mins max. he as overtired and grumpy a lot of the time but apart from that he is a good baby so maybe I'll get another ok one? haha |

| hmmmmm apart from the sleep issue i would say elijah is a pretty good baby, the sleep issue is a BIG one though. when he was smaller he was pretty content to just sit or lie entertaining himself - still does for a while now in the mornings. although now he wants to chase you everywhere and 'help' i wonder if that means i would get a terror next time? but one who likes to sleep for a few hours a night hrm!!! |

| See I'm worried about this, Stephen is a really good baby, always slept and fed well and is generally a very content little boy, so I'm thinking I'm due for a terror My mum said though that she thought I was sent such a good baby to make up for the terrible birth and illness afterwards so I'm hoping that's true and this one will still be good |

Although they have both slept well. |

| This is what I'm worried about. Imogen was an absolute angel as a baby, slept through pretty much straight away, and yeah we had a few problems when she decided she didn't want to breast feed anymore but mostly she was an easy baby. People keep telling me I'm going to have a nightmare child next. I'm getting stressed about it as Immi is deff in the terrible twos stage atm and I'm finding that hard work, i don't need that and a difficult newborn. I'm worrying I won't cope |

| Sleepwise mine have got steadily worse. Ciara was great she slept through from 12 weeks. Callum at 14 months, Siobhan at 2 years. Still waiting for Eoin to sleep through, hope its not going to be a pattern, he will be 2 and a half. Their behaviour not too bad, just typical kids. Number 3 is a madam, sometimes I wonder were I got her from. My mum says she is payback time for my behaviour as a child. I must have been awful. |

| My first was angel, my second and third were much harder. My first still is my good girl (most of the time). But I wouldn't change anything about any of them.
Actually that's a big lie. I would change quite a few things about my 14 year old son and his failure to put any of his clothes in his washing basket! |

| erm will let you know in a couple of months. I dont think Rowan was a bad baby. sleeping he was not great at nor feeding but i wouldnt not class him as a bad or difficult baby.
i take everything with a pinch of salt and it is what it is. so if this baby is harder she's harder. i'll learn and get through it |

| Um now do i tell the truth a scare some of you ladies/confirm your worst fears... Well Immy my first was an extremely good baby/young toddler then started to turn to tantrums at about 20/21 months, then Isla was born when she was 22 months, and OMG it was a shock to the system. Isla was a very needy, unhappy baby, who only wanted to be breastfed and with me, she also was very sick for the first few months and didn't sleep through until 8/9 months. Everything has calmed down last few months since Isla and Immy started playing together though x x x So lovely to see them giggling together |

| We went through hell with Aimee when she was first born and figured nothing could be worse than that (lol, how wrong were we!). She was a great baby and has always been a good sleeper. Then along came Lily! She was a nightmare for the first 8 weeks - to the point where I wonder how our marriage survived the stress of it all. But... it was a short sharp shock and didnt last long. Both are brilliant sleepers are very happy kids. x |

| my shock came from oliver being about 6 months old when he had his first tantrum...and now he has a real little temper on him whereas leo was so placid and didnt have 1 single tantrum but it was a welcome break to get a baby that slept through from 5 months old, whereas leo didnt sleep through till 18 months in my experience, babies are totally different so one who sleeps thorugh well may be a bugger in the day, same as one who never sleeps may be good as gold, you just never know x |

| alfie has never been a bad baby really. he didnt like to sleep much day or night till he was about 3 months old and has more or less slept through from 4 months so i cant complain about that. he has only recently really started taking day time naps long than 30 mins. but apart from that he is smily, and happy, loves to play and eats really well. im dreading havng another - i cant cope with sleepless nights again! x |

| Hmmm hard one to work out. C wasnt/isnt a bad baby/kid though the reflux was hard work and shes a spirited demon with rather busy mind and hands. BUt id say maybe for some she wouldt be classed as the easiest in thw world but i always found her fairly good just spirited. Awen seemed like the worlds most contented kid til 3 weeks ago but im hoping with the gavsicon she will now go back to that. My best mate thiks good kids are my reward for shit pregnancies |

| when i had my first, she was the most laid back easy going little thing...she never properly cried and even now it's rare...i thought i was so lucky...turns out she wasn't a 'normal' child so when my son come along...boy was i in for a shock! he was, and still is, whingy, clingy, destructive, tantrumy and generally frustrating...yet i don't think i'd change him for anything! lol |

| Both of mine have been pretty good as babies. Seb entertained himself better and was much more active but that has translated itself into a toddler who runs into the corridor at playgroup and laughs when I tell him off.... Seb didn't drop his night feed until 6 months but I can handle getting up once in the night if he settles again, Anna occasionally sleeps through but mostly feeds around 5:30am these days - helps that for both kids the 3-6 month period has been spring/summer; getting up several times a night in the winter wasn't much fun, but it is a distant memory now!
I think Anna is happier when Seb is around, when it is just me and her she gets a bit bored (particularly in the past week - she had chicken pox so we couldn't go to any baby groups, though she only appeared to feel ill for 24 hrs). |
