| Still no good! am feeling totally useless right now! had him weighed yesterdayand his weight has remained the same. so he still 5lb exactly HV comin back wednesday and if no weight gain at all it will be back to hosp for him! he isnt right, although i know im gonna sound like a right paranoid freak, but he just sleeps constantly! i mean id be lucky to hear him cry once a day! it takes him about an hour to feed him 2oz, he is still yellow and he is so floppy all the time i am so exhausted, just because the amount of times in a day when i think he has died! he goes just a pale yellow - no pink or anythin (when he in a deep sleep) and he is cool to touch and then he is so floppy, no resistance at all when you pick him up, and obviously i start panicing and my heart starts racing, and he is ok, and i do get him to stir a bit, but im goin through that god knows how many times a day - its takin its toll! sorry just feelin down again at the minute, i just want him to be ok! i have been bottle feeding him expressed milk and he has been takin more than the 400ml a day the doc sed he needs for his weight, but still no weight gain - i dont get why! well i have decided tonight that im just gonna give him formula incase my milk just isnt enough for him! sorry for whinging girls, but thanx for takin the time to read xXx |

| Hun a mothers instinct is worth a million HVs and you obviously think there is something wrong. From what you have described hunni - I would take him straight to hospital and bypass the HV. He doesn't sound right and it's best to have him checked, you can't put yourself through it - it must be terrifying!
Take him in hun - if only to put your mind at rest!

| it does sound like something else is going on - elijah was very very sleepy and yellow for over a month, but always fed lots and you could wake him/he wasn't floppy. i would take him to mw unit or ring labour ward/childrens ward to say you are coming in, i'm not sure i would leave it a day with all that stress! |

| The midwife/labour ward wont take you back. We had this problem with Aimee. You need to get him down to A&E as soon as you can. They need to do tests on things like his oxygen levels in his blood. Please dont wait. You know that something is wrong, so please, please take him. We were told that Aimee was fine and if we had been an hour later taking her to A&E she would have died. Even when we got her there it took them about 6 hours to fight to keep her alive. I dont want to frighten you, and im sure whatever the problem is, it isnt serious, but it needs to be seen to right away. Sometimes, like in our case, it can be very serious and there are things going on inside their little bodies that we cant see. x |

| Hon take him to the hosp he sounds like he needs to see a doctor ad A/E would never turn you away or judge you for taking a littlee up for a proper check. What you describe sounds obviously terrifyig and it sounds like his jaundice is affecting him and needs treated |

| Hun. I am going to pm you a number of someone to speak to who will support you.
The HVs in Huntingdon are useless in my experience but the midwives are excellent.
If you don't get any joy before take Connor to Baby Brunch at the Acorn Centre on Monday morning and speak to Elly.
If you need any help getting help let me know and I will help you kick some ass.
BTW if you are going to the hospital by car feel free to park on my drive and save yourself the car park charges (I will pm you my address) |

| awww hun, i hope he is ok, he looks gorgeous in the photo,
i had to rush rich in when he was 3wks old, because he kept being sick, i knew there was something wrong and kept sticking to my guns, my hv was excellent and like you was on way to hosp after an hour of speaking to her, he had a small op and was fine after a couple of days.
its scarey but least they will listen to you and do whats best xx |

| well he is ok i think Hospital didnt seem too worried, although made me feel like a complete idiot they said they agree he is very sleepy and floppy - but apparently thats normal for a SCBU baby?? they didnt believe me how much milk he is takin, even though its the amount my HV has told me to give him they said its too much and if i were really giving him that much it would make him sick!? well i am giving him that much and he not being sick, just not putting on weight either!!! so they gave me high calorie milk and told me to give him less of it and to replace the breastmilk ;( and not to worry about him being sleepy and floppy. they sending out a community nurse every week to help me with him?! not sure what thats supposed to mean but has made me feel like i just cant look after him but on the bright side he is ok and they didnt seem too bothered by anythin other than his weight gain - so yep looks like it was just me bein a paranoid freak lol xXx |
