Righto peeps cpl of quick questions

1st off the gav. When C was on it before she was transferred to the other meds i used to put it in her bottle but A is BF. So i did it the way they said mix 5mls of water then make up to 15. Dear god it was horrible havig her gag and gip on the syringe. Does it really have to be 15mls does ayone know? Cos i tried putting it in a bottle and she was havig none of it so had to use syringe, someone suggested using EBM instead would that work cos i could probs get her to take that in a bottle if i used it to make up to 15mls


Also bibs, she has to wear em all day cos shes always spitting up ad i hate bibs so ive bought her some rather cool bandana ones like c used to wear. Didnt someone on here say they made them? If so might have a favour to ask in exchange for some pennies as i cant sew for shit lol. Im gonna get some more at the end of the month if im imagining someone making them/they are too busy or dont fancy doig any as ive found a brand called funky giraffe i love they are doing 5 for 8.50

heya, just saw your other post - glad the gaviscon worked and you got some more its a total arse to mess around with though. i think it needs to be 15ml we never tried it with less but as you say ebm might be more palatable. im sure if you can shake it into a bottle you could use ebm, i can't really see why not (maybe do the 15ml ebm then feed straight after?!)

we resorted to just tying muslins in a bandana styleeee for eli cos we got through so many clothes/bibs so that's a short term solution. we stuck with the syringes cos at least you had some idea of how much he had taken and could give a dose in 3 little portions over ten minutes because 15ml looked like bloody loads in them days!

oh and also, we used to prop elijah's basket up with a folded blanket which helped a bit and have a muslin under his head (oops typed over there ahem!) for quick changes after the seemingly constant flow of sick!

Cheers Mari. All stuff i remember doing with C and im now doing with A lol, shes got her basket tilted and sleeps with a mussie under her head. Im also constantly sporting one on my shoulder now. Cheers for the thought i thought perhaps since she tends to have a feed off both sides i could do one side then the emb/gav then the other side too...or something. Guess will fine tune it

I gave Chloe her Gaviscon using EBM in a bottle and gave it to her when we swapped breasts....that seemed to work nicely

As of today shes on 23mls every 3 hours, bless her! She's 2lb 10 and a half (the half is very important lol) She went down to 2lb 4 after she was born.
