Dry Skin.... _
PostSubject: Dry Skin....   Dry Skin.... EmptyWed May 18, 2011 3:03 am

Alyssa has really dry skin bless her, which apparently is quite common in babys that are overdue. Everything I have read says to just leave it and it will eventually clear up, but she's all flaky.

Has anyone else used anything on there newborn for dry skin, or did you just wait for it to clear on its own??

i would be tempted to just leave it be, or a very tiny amount of pure olive oil.

Libby's skin was flakey and dry and we were really worried and asked the midwife but apparantly its completely normal and was told to just leave it as if you start applying creams etc it will just delay the process.

Dexter's went exactly the same way too, we just left it again and it cleared up in a couple of weeks.

xx

Our hv told us to use olive oil but it just made it worse. We just left it in the end and it cleared up by itself
