Well, what can I say. Cerys is a toddler and has tantrums. . . . . . . . . Well today, whilst out shopping with mum, I experienced a tantum that can only be described as HEART ATTACK inducing OMG, I have never seen Cerys throw a wobbly like today We went into Boots (she was on the reins), she decided she didnt want to go in so just threw herself on the floor, on her back and started crying. Picked her up, after leaving her on the floor for a couple of minutes, then took her outside. She continued screaming in the street to the point where she could hardly catch her breath. The frustration in her face was shocking. She was hitting my face, she ripped my glasses off and threw them on the pavement Nothing I did, would calm her down. She wouldnt stand up, she didnt want to be held, wouldnt go in the pushchair After 10 minutes of sheer meltdown, she started to catch her breath and chill. OMG that tested every bit of nerve and patience I had. Feel better now Ive shared it with you ladies. Please tell me Im not alone

You are not alone. When Sophie does this when were home I usually just say, right, your going upstairs to calm down, and i put her in my bedroom with the radio on and door shut and my duvet and pillows on the floor until shes calmer, I wait outsde, usually after 5 mins she is calm and i go in and shes sitting or laying on my duvet playing with some knickers or something. When we are out its a lot worse lol. And I usually just find myself telling people, dont pay any attention, shes having a tantrum lol.

Izzy had one like that recently - at home though! I honestly tried everything and I seemed to make it worse, so just left her rolling on the floor and then eventually she laughed got up and walked off! Was AWFUL though, I think the neighbours thought I was killing her!

Oh dear!! I feel your pain hun - I really do! It gets worse before it gets better though I now have two of them at it, if one starts the other does too we had a double meltdown in a Tesco trolly the other day after they had spent 10 minutes headbutting each other and I decided to intervene and tell them off. They both went skitz! I parked the trolly in a corner and walked away - I've never been so embarrased!! xx

By the way... The reason i put sophie in my room to calm down, is that I don't want her to associate her room with bad times lol.

Alice does this alot, usually when we are leaving nanas house (either one she isnt fussy) if we are at home i just ignore her, i have also done it in the supermarket and just walked off saying bye. the last time she did it in the supermarket i picked her up and carried her out all the time she was pointing her finger and saying what have i told you i had to look away or i would have burst out laughing!

LMFAO! Funny little things, arent they? I learned early on that Aimee + Shopping = No No. She had a hissy fit when she was about 10 months old and I have refused to take her ever since. James insisted on coming along to Asda with me the other week and she had a total meltdown. I just ran off with Lily and left him to it, listening to him trying to cope a few aisles away and giggling . x

Lol at Braden! Thats just what Tayla does! She has a new thing that is sooo embarrassing, say she tries to run off or be naughty i grab her hand or just holding her hand like normal and when someone walks past starts twisting and shouting 'Ouchies, oww Mummy hurt!!'
