| Collected my daughter from school, and as per normal., cars are packed where they shouldnt be
Anyways
i couldnt believe it, when this old git... not only parked on the path way, but it was at an weird angle.. no way i could fit the pushchair thru this tiny gap.. i said can you move it... he looked at me like i was an idiot... i basically had a right go and made a bit of a show of myself... in the end i had to walk around the car because he wouldnt move...
informed the school about this before but they dont give 2 hoots.. what will it take for them to do something about it, the way its going a child could be knocked down, all because a parent cant be arsed to walk for a few mins...

No you didn't over react, it's illegal to obstruct a pathway I think, you should have threatened to call the police!

Marie, this happens all the time in my area, i get so peed off because i cant get past on the path and have to go on the main road with the pram. If i ever see anyone getting in their car I always point it out, its really not on at all

No you did not over react. Its the same at our school and it drives me nuts!!! The thing that annoys me is its other parents who do this so surely they should understand what its like crossing the road with children/pushchairs!!!

There are bylaws for this exact problem! If your school doesn't take you seriously..perhaps contacting the local police to enforce this. School zones are where most accidents happen due to negligent parking and assholes who are too lazy to walk 3 meters. This is one of my biggest pet peeves!

I live opposite a primary school and people always do this. The school have been in touch with the police and they keep sending PCSOs at the end of the school day to give people parking tickets

I live on a road with a school at the end too and it drives me nuts, people parking dangerouisly, people letting their kids roam round the road, its hard to get around with a buggy or a car for all the chaos and i hate it. So good for you
