i know, it isn't even his birthday yet but i am trying to keep track of things that arrive and who they are from so i (elijah ) can do thank you cards...

originally i was going to do painting with eli and send them as thank yous but errrrm i can't ask him to paint THAT much haha

i have been looking at getting a birthday picture printed onto postcards/cards and using them as thank-yous

it ends up costing about the same as buying a few packets of nice thank you cards...what would you do? just buy a heap of normal ones or get these ones printed...i suppose the main difference is i can get started on the normal ones rather than wait for the printed ones....

obviously i wouldn't do it every year, but is it worth the extra bit of effort/wait for the personal ones?

Do you have a printer? You could just print off a load of A6 cards with a simple THANK YOU on the front then get Eli to do paint handprints on them all - still got the personal touch and cheap as chips

we have a printer with no ink - i did think about that haha but if we replace the cartridges we are talking a tenner...the printed cards are £12, or 3 packets of thank you notes are about a tenner too (the ones i have seen that i liked).

but i do like the idea of handprints...fancy coming over and helping with that???? we need 20ish

we just got thank you letters done last year,

we got invitations done at moo cards happy, we have had loads of stuff from there it is always lovely - we just did postcards with a photo on the front and all the party info on the back

Me either hun it's not that i'm not greatful I just faff too much and dont get organised in time and by the time I remember (2 months later ) its a bit late.

'tis ok hun, this pregnancy is going to ruin my brain and memory, so I will probably forget to start sending them.

I should probably print a load off ready for Lily's birthday (November) and Xmas, the I cant forget.

you could get a big piece of card, and get elijah to do a big painting, then cut it up into cards?

I verbally say thank you, i have very good manners and am polite, but i just dont send cards, so still expect my birthday present in the post......please
