| How much money have or would you take to be completly happy that you could do everything you wanted? It's only me and oh going to Mexico for two weeks, we are fully inclusive at the hotel so no need to worry about food too much.
Thing is we want to swim with dolphins, jet ski, ride speed boats, go on a couple of nights out and most importantly do lots of shopping!
So if you could take what you wanted how much would that be? |

| I took £500 and that was enough for us but then we were bed&breakfast so had to buy food every evening and only did two excursions. This hasn't helped at all.. sorry! |

I've not been away without my parents there with handouts or without children so I literally have no idea! I may see if I can find out actual prices of things if I can ! Have a fab holiday Sam!! |

| I was going to say for a total blow out holiday £100 a day. But then as you have no food/drink to buy, and it unlikely you will be doing excursions every day, I think £1000 sounds plenty. To be fair you could prob spend £5k if you wanted (shopping, champagne etc lol) but then you prob would regret it when you came home! Dont go too mad! |

| Kell we're going all inclusive to turkey in July and we're only taking a couple of hundred because we're really nit planning on spending anything or leaving the complex. But oh has done ai in Mexico about 8 years ago and said excursions were about £50 per person. He's just told me places that you must go one is chitzinicha (sp) but please bear in mind that mark is a total geek and weirdo! hope this helps x |

| We've easily spent £100 a day before now, especially if you do a lot of days out cos you end up eating out for at least lunch, drinks etc and all the rest you buy on days out! So yeh I think I'd take at least £1000 - although we never take much cash and just use our cards to take cash out while away or use them to buy stuff - which is actually worse cos you don't keep a tally on what you are spending!!! Dan is the worst at that and seems to spend the same as us both when its just him away |

| Lisa, I know what you mean. We usually do self catering and eat out for every meal and it soon mounts up! |

| I think that £1k will be more than enough. We went AI to Mexico and I think we took about £1000 and we came home with money. James swam with dolphins (I was pg so couldnt) and we also went on the pirate ship night and also paid quite a bit for tickets for a pub crawl to go to Coco Bongo (morning sickness made us cancel though). x |
