OK I had a growth scan. Babies tummy was measuring big. According to the chart it's off the chart altogether not even on the graph.
Now I was sent for a second GTT last week and I've to go back to the hospital to see a consultant instead of the hospital midwife.
Now the appointment is a scan review and the result of the GTT. they wanted me to have this all done last week including the consultant appointment but where having trouble getting both appointments in the one week.
My question is the first GTT came back clear and I'm certain this one will too.
What happens from there? surely there is nothing else that can be done. what exactly can be done or could be done etc?
She is still measuring ahead by at least 2 weeks.
I feel like i'm being put through worry for nothing. midwife told me all is fine not to worry. but if the GTT is clear then what
argh am repeating myself now.
I just dont understand where i'd go from tomorrow. I just feel i'll get there they will say GTT all clear. then thats it. I cant see anything else happening.

Are they maybe looking for GD so that they can treat you but then if GTT comes back clear they may induce you a bit early? x

I really don't know. Surely i'd have some hint of having GD.
I know i'll find out tomorrow but i just feel like i'm turning up there and then will be none the wiser.

I would make sure that you force the consultant to talk you through all the options and about what happens next. They may want to induce you early if baby is measuring ahead. With stephen I had a growth scan and gtt which came back clear and it was never followed up when it should have been . If it had I would have been induced early to give me a chance of delivering Stephen naturally as he was a whopper. I'm not saying this to scare you, just with hindsight I wish I'd made them talk it all through and go in to the details with me so I could have been clear about all the options xxx

I had this and they made me test my blood sugar levels four times a day for a week and they were still clear. Also had loads of extra scans. I was induced at 38 weeks but he was smaller than they said so they can get it wrong

i know its easy to say, but try not to worry hun, i'd imagine that they will book you in for another scan next week and then book induction date. for a couple of weeks,
