| ssssssooooo i think we will have a little something, being a fat *rse i have so far decided on some sort of buffet haha but nothing else.
i guess we will mostly be having family over (yuck sigh) and maybe a few friends - so unlikely that there will be more than 6 babies/toddlers, between 6 - 24 months so games are a bit pointless i think...should i just stick to a bit of music in the background and munchies....
as you can tell, other than simply drinking until i couldn't feel my teeth i am not very good at parties, and we don't drink anymore so umm im stuck! |

| So whats the question?? For Libby's 1st birthday we just had family round and a little friend and they just crawled around everwhere (the babies that is ), no point in organising games etc. I think what you've got planned sounds about right. xxx |

hahaha i just reread the post....wtf.....i'm drunk on red kola! the question is, do i need to provide some kind of entertainment for grownups or will they just occupy themselves i am sort of assuming the small selection of children that may or may not turn up will be entertained enough with toys and food?! |

| Andrew's first birhtday we had MIL & FIL here and also 3 of Andrews little friends and their mums and dads here, we had buffet food and drinks out so people could help themselves. It was August so we had the paddling pool filled with balls and a bubble machine outside and Andrew had got a smart trike so after the men had put that up the kids played on it in the garden Sophie's birthday was similar but was both sets of grandparents and their brother and sister here As for the grown ups they were all friends in mycase so they just chatted We had music on in the back ground |

| If you do it around midday, you only need to do cake and tea for grown UPS maybe maybe some nibbled, but will.save money and set a time so people know when to leave. As for the kids just leave them with toys and cake, they be fine, if its nice the paddling pool is ok but a rug in the garden with the toys will go down well too |

| well clare, i think i am getting eli a paddling pool/some plastic ballpool balls and some other bits so we will have them for either outside or inside - setting a time is a good idea though, i thought maybe 1-3pm or 2-4 (not too late for elijah's tea etc)...do you think 2 hours is a bit mean? |

| 2 hours is fine, first hour for people to come, and open any presents, then the cake, on the hour, then a bit of play before home time. If you doing party bags, a small gift like a bath toy, and give these out 15 mins before end, peeps will get idea party is over |

| Adults will just sit around talking lol. We have alot of kids in our family ranging from Noahs age to 5, if u did decide to do again the balloon one is always fun to do. Make two lines of adults and kids and stick the 2 balloons at one end of each line in between the legs of person, and then only use ur knees to get the balloon to one end of the line and back. It is a good game gets everyone involved. I am quiet lucky really as OH is a really good entertainer when it comes to parties and he keeps the kids occupied lol. I hope u have a fab day anyway.
