| aaaaarararararargh elijah has been making this noise 'eeeeeeeeeeeeheeeeeeeeeeeeehhhh eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh' in various whiney tones since yesterday.......i didn't think he would feel poorly until a few days after the mmr so just want a bit of input...
he was ok yesterday, but teething with his eye teeth i think so a bit grumpy. had calpol on tuesday night but seemed ok in the day yesterday. had his mmr at 3.30pm....during tea at 5ish he started screaming inconsolably so i ended up feeding him pureed fruit on my knee....
through the evening he was a bit grizzly/whiny and easily upset (if he fell over absolutely screaming whereas normally he would just get up and wander off). i have squished his arms/legs and prodded him a bit and there doesn't seem to be any particular part which is sore...
this morning he has already fallen asleep for an hour, and is now grizzling his way around the room wailing very quietly (not really crying but not very happy), he doesn't want to be picked up/put down/play/read stories/eat/drink....he has no rash and no temperature but its really unlike him.
can i put this down to the mmr already? or teething? or could he be poorly??? not sure what to do for him at all. |

| It sounds like it could just be the mmr. I know when I have had certain jabs my arm feels really achey, so maybe its that, so it wouldnt be one specific place. x |

| Does sound like it could be MMR keep up with calpol and nurofen, lots of fluids and mummy cuddles and I'm sure he'll be fine in a couple of days. Maybe some earplugs for mummy too |

| I would say it's probably a nasty combination of the teething and the MMR. I know a lot of peoples little ones have coem down with colds after having the MMR so if he's getting that AND teething I imagine he's feeling pretty down in the dumps. I would dose him up with calpol and neurofen for a day or two x |

| argh!!! dont say that katie! i need one of those squeezy stress balls we are finally dressed so going to try and get him to eat some lunch - he would only have yogurt and fruit puree for brekkie but thats not uncommon. he still has a bruise on his head and a fat lip from this weeks adventures poor little sausage! i hope it only lasts a day or two but the hv was on about it lasting weeks.....then getting swelling in the neck in 3 weeks time?! we will just wait and see, we have both had a mouthful of calpol (his was measured, mine wasnt hahaha) im just surprised it happened so soon?! |

| Stephen was teething as well when he had his and he was exactly the same. It was on and off for a few days and he was more tired than normal but it did soon pass! Just keep up with calpol and cuddles xxx |

| yeh mari I think its more the teething than the MMR as it normally takes around 10 days to have an effect! not sure about neck swelling though that's a bit scary isn't it? |
