Do you really need to see them and get your lo weighed. Admittedly I always seem to see the worst one (she told me today Jamie couldn't possibly have a tooth but had to change her mind when he bit her). Every time we go I get a lecture about giving Jamie too much formula because his well over the 100% line. When I get a chance to speak and say his exclusively breastfed they say its fine. However from next week his going to be on solids so I know I'm going to face endless lectures even though his following his own little line (its making a perfect curve). I know his healthy and know when his not (like now). Am happy to see my hv for his 7 month check and would obviously take him if there was any problem but do I really need to see them other than that?

LOL, Izzy went to be weighed til 8 wks..then at 28 weeks and not again til 48 weeks.

I've never taken her since- just put her on our scales! Not even that often as I am happy with how she is!

i wouldnt say so - ours continued to visit til 8 months, partly cos eli was slow to put on weight at the beginning and partly cos i didn't object but after that we were left to it and as elijah is pretty healthy i have only had him weighed once...i too cant be *rsed with being spoken to like a child when i know my child is fine and we have no concerns, so although they may have a policy to continue seeing jamie until a certain age, after that i think its up to you when you go Smile

Since Stephen was a baby and got weighed loads I've only taken him to be weighed once and then had one check up at 10 months but that's it. Just don't go if you don't want to! xxx

I haven't been since Chloe's 1 year check up. Personally I think they're a complete waste of time, even when I've had a question, they always say 'Well what do you think' I always want to say, I don't fluffing know that's why I'm asking you!!!

Ours saw Caitlin couple of times in 1st 6 weeks. Then only for 5 mins at health centre for jabs at 3/4, 12 and 15 mths.

The last time she weighed Caitlin or did any sort of assessment was at 4 months. They scrapped the checks here until the pre school one. Its a bit of a disgrace but I dont mind as Caitlin is doing well. For all they know but she could still not be standing/walking/talking. Iv my own baby scales so just weighed her myself and got weaning info from dietician at allergy clinic at hospital. x
