So... with everything going on, I want to try and concentrate on eventually bit by bit doing a little bit of decorating, Pretty much as cheaply as possible but still have a good result. im gonna have to do some hard graft to start with as there is woodchip wallpaper all over the place, and iv heard its a nightmare to remove... but after that im going to just lining paper mine, and sophies new room, and then find a nice cheapish pretty paper to do 1 feature wall in each room, and then paint the other walls a light complementing colour... so my question is... anyone know of any nice walpapers for a 2 year olds room? I want it to be quite grown up, but not TOO grown up... one i like is this http://www.ukwallpaper.co.uk/products/papillion.htm in either pink or blue, probably blue cause then ill paint the walls the duck egg blue colour, but at £12.99 a roll, with a half drop match, thats gonna be pretty expensive!!!I also like this flower one...
http://www.ukwallpaper.co.uk/products/flower-powerfunky-floral.htm and would have the other walls white, with maybe a canvas or something covered in the paper on a white wall... and thats cheaper.
for my room.. same idea with the woodchip removed and then lining paper etc... but my bed is brown so im thinking this...
http://www.ukwallpaper.co.uk/products/bloom4882.htm but on 2 walls that are currently aubergine purple, because that would cover the paint, and then the other walls the lightest blue colour thats on the flowers?
what do you all think? and do you have any other cheaper recommendations???
I have read that ill probably need to do some polyfilling, and woodchip usually is covering bad walls! but thats ok i can deal with that!
And this is all relying on the fact that the council sort me out so to speak
