I'm looking to make a Peter Pan cake for Imogen's birthday. Ideally I'd like a cake tin in the shape of Peter Pan, I've looked at a few sites but haven't found anything. Do you know where I might be able to hire/buy one? (i don't want a Tinkerbell one)
Or do you have any other ideas about how to make the cake Peter Pan ish, I was thinking some sort of figures, maybe edible, do people sell these or would I have to make them?

Thanksx

Hey sweetie. I've had a look and can't find a Peter Pan head shaped tin, only Tinkerbell ones. Have a look on Google images as you'll find a ton of idea's there as to still make it Peter Pan rather than tinkerbelle.
http://www.google.co.uk/search?um=1&hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&biw=1366&bih=602&tbm=isch&oq=peter+pan+cake+&aq=f&aqi=g3&q=peter%20pan%20cake

If you don't fancy making the little models you could buy something like this and put them on http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bullyland-Peter-Pan-Gift-Figurines/dp/B000J3FIFU/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1308924765&sr=8-2

You can get printed cake toppers that can look cute on a nicely made and covered cake. x

Thanks hun, i love the first one in google images, but a little unsure on my abilities.

I've been looking into those plastic figures, i think its the best (easiest) way to go just didn't want to spend £15 but i should stop being tight! Smile

Going to leave the cake toppers as last resort as i'd really love to do a big special cake but we'll see.

Hun tbh you'll spend way more than £15 on the different tools and gumpastes (or colours) to make the figures. I'd deffo buy them and she can play with them afterwards x

Sorry only just seen this, have been on hols and haven't been on since I got back. How artistic are you? One of my earlier cakes I did when I first started out was a Tigger cake and I couldn't get the tin I wanted so I cut out the shape of the cake with a knife, covered in fondant then drew on the picture with royal icing and a piping bag, this is what it turned out like, maybe you could try something similar?

Don't worry Mandy, after I posted I remembered you were away.

Wow i'm deff not as artistic as you. We've decided on something like this..

Mandy / LisaG Birthday_Peter_Pan

Sort of a joint effort between my mum and sis. My sis is really good at drawing so she's going to trace a pic of peter pan on rice paper and then my mum will ice over the top. If that looks ok we're going to add Wendy
