There are people on FB who nearly everyday are able to say - 'ironing all done, house spotless time for a cuppa' or 'floors mopped, bathroom cleaned now to relax'.

Am I the only lazy bastard who reads these status's and then shamefully looks round their own house that is covered in dust/crumbs and has a washing heap that is taking over the bedroom.... and still stays sitting on their ass watching cbeebies or goes for a nap with LO?

I need a kick up the bum!

Im not getting at anyone for putting these staus's up - Im actually quite jealous! (Though part of me would love to nip round and inspect their house to see if they telling porkies In fact maybe I should start putting fake cleaning status's up to impress people

Me too! My kids aren't here so you would think I would have time on my hands to get loads done but nope - I'm sat n bed on my lappy with a banging headache knowing that last nights pots are still festering in the sink downstairs I will no doubt just out of bed 10 minutes before OH is due home and run round like a mad woman with the hoover and polish and pretend I've been hard at it all day

OMG snap debs! Stuart has taken Caitlin into town for lunch with MIL and I am lying in bed with laptop. Told him I was gona take a quick bath then sort the house out..... 40 min later Im still sat here

Mum is taking Caitlin tonight as Iv got the cold and could do with a break.... I predict a takeaway and an early night NOT the cleaning/sorting I think my mum intends me to catch up on!

I keep telling myself when number 2 arrives a miracle will happen and I will suddenly become super organised

Lol hun in a way you will have to become super organised but you will still be you I get 10x more done when the kids are here than I do when they're not - they motivate me to get out of bed and get on with stuff - ok stuff takes 10x longer but when they're not here I just mope about missing them and not knowing what to do with myself or weher to start. Think I'mjust lazy but this headache really isn't helping

Anyway you stay where you are hun - you've got a good excuse - you need all th rest you can get but I'm just lazy so need a kick up the ass!

lol that's my status now, kitchen tidy, bathroom cleaned, all floors clean and Hoovered

my intro is still messy thou lol. I've been kinda lazy since+moving here, i need akick up the bum too for most days

I do clean...I just don't put it on FB - maybe I should?! DO people think I don't clean then?!

Snoops its bloody hard to get time to clean with a toddler! I do the kitchen/floor/put washing in as much as I can while Izzy eats her breakfast. Then I TRY to sit and have mine after that - while she tries to climb up and have 'mummies drink' ! I then clean it properly, finish up fter she is in bed...so most of the day its full of lunch plates lol

Then I usually tidy and vacuum the front room while she watches telly or plays in the corner...not easy as every thing I put away comes out promptly and dumped on the floor again!

The bathroom gets done on the weekend when Dan has charge of Izzy, or when I get time after she has gone to bed.

Her bedroom is only cleaned once a week on the weekend, or in the week if Dan takes her out.

The rest can go take a hike til I have a few hours spare on the weekends!

I HATE cleaning when Izzy is here and awake, cos at the moment I'm her company - as my mum says 'get another and that will be much easier'...so hey you are nearly half way there!

Haha i always feel bad about myself and the house when i read status' like that. I watch too much cbeebies and have a nap when Immi does. In my defense I've found cleaning is completely pointless when Imogen is awake. I could make the house spotless and she'd mess it up in about 20mins. If I attempt washing she 'helps' and mixes the darks/lights, or mixes what needs to be washed with what has just come out. So i normally have a tidy/clean and sort the washing out, wash up and anything else when she goes to bed. So much simpler.
