| i know i posted this before but elijah's accident-proneness is getting out of hand this week. he was fine last week, but in the past two days he has: fallen onto his face and given himself a bloody nose, hit his cheek on a table so its all blue, fallen into a door, fallen over more times than i can count, bruised his shin, smacked his head on the bedframe and has a black eye, tripped and bitten his lip open,as i am typing this he has just run up to me, tripped over and smacked his face on my leg.....it goes on and on.....
is it a symptom of growing? or could the mmr still be throwing him out? or that he has just started trying to do little runs? he seems fine other than looking sore, no temperature and doesn't seem in pain....seriously....is it normal to have a few days of no sense/balance at all????? |

| Hi Mari, personally I don't think it is to do with the mmr.How long has he been walking? If it hasn't been that long is he still at the wobbly stage where it doesn't take much for them to fall over. Also it sounds as though he may literally be trying to run before he can walk. Sorry this probably isn't much use to you xx |

| i think you might be right....its 3 weeks since the mmr almost. it just seems excessive at the moment!!! he has been walking for a while since 11 months-ish probably 7 weeks or something that he has been walking without holding on and is quite confident but you may be right that he is just going too fast for himself... |

| Odd! I wrote a post but it vanished! I thought much the same as Lesley, and remember Milo went through a stage like that when he was first walking, he would just try to run, or forget to concentrate and get his legs all tangled up. Hope Elijah doesn't have too many bumps today, poor little man! |
