How do you have your scones with cream and jam? I have to have cream then jam on top. MIL always does them jam then cream, and if she offers one now I tell her i'll do it myself cause it actually really pisses me off

my neighbour makes us scones all the time
cheese , cherry , plain , apple and cinnamon and my ultimate favourite ones are banana and walnut !

At home id usually just have butter and jam, though rare for me to have one. Went to fancy hotel for my aunties bday last year and had them with cream and jam and think I put the jam on 1st. Im with Lisa - I think it would be quite awkward putting jam on cream... but then I put the butter on before the jam so know were you're coming from.

Get the thick clotted cream and spread it like it were butter then jam on top.

Looks like i'm the weirdo then and everyone has it the other way. Ah well, i'm not switching. I feel the need to go make scones now..

jam then a big blob cream. and scones without rabbit bumbles in. or just a hot cheese scone with lashings of butter

Firmer than cake but sweeter than bread. You should try one! I personally can only have them with cream and jam but some people have savory ones which can have cheese and bacon in them.
