well the 11month mark has come, and his little testes still haven't dropped...if anything his lil ball sack is totally tight, and looks like a prune all shrivelle and tight, you can't feel his actuall balls, and they aren't even high up in his pubic area...his little willy looks so small and shrivelled, like the size of the end of my lil finger... so worried...i know i should take him to docs, just extremely worried about what the doctors will say. The dr at 9mths said that by 11mths theyt should be down at all times, i haven't seen his actuall balls inthe right place for about a month...they doc said he would probably have an op just after 1st birthday

pointless post, coz i know fine well that he will be referred to hossy and have to see a specialist and go for an op...i can't even contempleate handing him to the operating staff :

aww poor benji! i know it must be really stressful for you at the moment but at least they can help and sort it out while he is too little to remember

oh hunny I'm surprised they would operate so young for this though I'm sure I've heard of older kids who's bits haven't dropped... I would get a second opinion if you could x

Oh hun I know how you feel but just think if you get him sorted now then at least he wont remember. You will hand him over because its the best thing for hima nd you are an amazing mummy x

i rang the docs and im getting a doc to call me back... then OH is gonna go to docs with benjamin if they wanna see him...i have seen a few docs about this jade, some of them say he wont need op til later on, but will refer to hossy specialist, and other docs say nope, by 11months they should be down so specialist will send straight for op!! hopefully he does have it now, i know it's gonna be hard seeing my little boy be put to sleep, but atleast he won't remember/know what's going on...any older than this and he will know whats going on etc gonna be so hard for me, if he does have to have op, as only 1 person can go through to op theatre with baba and obviously that will be me, and i know i'll burst my eyes out crying...i know some mother's have had to take their kids in for much worse things, and for more serious ops...but any operation is scary...i know fine well i'd be shitting a brick if i had to be operated on!!
fingers crossed he doesn't have to have an op at all EVER, but doubt it v much, he literally has 2 tiny sprouts for balls and a lil worm for a willy everything has shrunk :/

awww hunny when the time comes you'll be brave because you won't want benjy to see you upset you'll probably be a crying wreck when he's being operated on but when he wakes up again you'll be fine

Hun, try not to worry.

Aimee has been put to sleep three times now and trust me, its easier the younger they are as they dont struggle (we had a dreadful time last week as she is older).

They sit them on your lap and let you cuddle them while putting the mask on until they fall asleep, then they gently take them and put them on the bed.

They will also let both of you go down to the operating theatre. We have been able to go together on every occasion, even though their rules say only one parent is allowed, they dont even consider saying that a parent cant go, so dont worry about that.

I hope it doesnt get that far, but if it does, he will be in good care.

My middle son had "no balls" I was told they will drop when he starts walking etc. They did. Don't panic, the ops don't generally take place until between 4-5 I was told he would have a scan if it hadn't dropped by 2 to make sure ones there

im so worried its unreal ...trying not to think that he'll need an op, but then again i'd want him to have an op sooner rather than later for his sake...the docs say different things, some say he needs it straight away others say he won't need it at all, they will drop by themseleves eventually...just gonna ask to be referred to get a proper answer, from a specialist! The docs are the ones who messed my sister's leg up, they never sent her for an xray causing her to hurt her leg unnecessarily x

Dont expect any proper answers from the specalist either hun. You often get a 'wait and see' answer in these sorts of things.

Im sure it will all be fine and he will not need the op x

well ladies, he has deffo got retractile testicles, and they more than likely won't be able to stay down themselves without surgery, he has referred me to RVI in newcastle, as apparently they don't do this op on smaller kids under the age of 2 at our usual hospital (durham) so long trips (we don't drive!!) eurgh! but getting referred asap, so the specialists can see if he can have some massage to see if that helps, if so they will put off the op for now, and do it when he's a bit older...
not good news, but could have been a whole lot worse!! also his foreskin is a little tight, and looked red today, so gotta keep an eye on that, if it gets any tighter he may have to be circumcised too!! poor lil mite with his bits
