I started taking these about a month before we calmed down with the TTC. I'd read somewhere that it was good for regulating AF and also good for producing more fertile mucus. I did suffer with quite erratic AF's that ranged from 33-39 days and although we were doing the BD'ing at the right times I didn't feel I was producing enough 'quality' CM even though i'd up'd my fluid intake.

So month one I took 1000mg of EPO a day from 1st cycle day upto Ovulation - (Don't take after Ovulation) - That month was the 1st month of a 28 days cycle

Second month I took 2000mg per day from CD1 to Ovulation. This was the month I got my BFP My cycle seemed to stay at 28 days also (I knew this because of when Ov occurred) and we only BD'd once that month (yes the whole month )
Along with the EPO I took multi vits and minerals throughout my cycle and swapped them when I got pg.

I just wanted to share this as I feel it had a something to do with getting BFP. I really do believe it worked for us and maybe could for you.

Thanks zee, funnily enough I bought some capsules today, why should you only take it up to ovulation?

Cos it causes the uterus to contract, so if you did conceive it would have great difficulty implanting in a contracting uterus..and if it did there would be a higher chance of m/c.
I always knew when I ov'd cos of ov pain, but if you have a regular 28-29day cycle you could just take upto CD14 then stop until next cycle (if needed!!)

You can take upto 3000mg per day but I just built up as I didn't know what to expect.
