Properly mop your kitchen floor?
Our kitchen has been such a dump for the last couple of months due to the diy we've slowly been doing that I haven't been inclined to clean floors properly, just doing a quick sweep and mopping little bits at a time. Now it's all sorted and looks nice I will properly clean it. How often are you supposed to do it though? It's such an effort Obviously I'll sweep it everyday but mopping just seems to take more time/energy.

Also for those who have wood/laminate flooring how often do you mop that?

I have a tiled kitchen - and I should mop it every day (I do in winter) cos of the dogs, but in the summer a quick sweep and it doesn't look too bad (not including Izzys patch which seems to have something grubby on the floor regardless of how often I mop!)

Our front room is oak floor (or some real wood lol) and I vacuum it every day and mop probably once a week - the water is never very grubby in summer so I don't see the point in doing it more often.

We have slate tiled floor in the kitchen and although we hoover every day (or every other day) I only mop about once a week. OH never thinks of mopping, so it only ever gets done when I can be arsed lol.

We have wooden floors throughout the house too, and I hardly ever mop them lol only if I actually see grubbiness, I do hoover regular though.

Dan has probably mopped 5 times (I cant think its even that much) since we've been together (7 years) and we have always had hard flooring!

I try to mop once a week but then I hover every day or every other and I use a detol wipe if I notice a grubby patch. It doesn't seem to get grubby just crumbs seem to get everywhere.

I Hoover everyday as we have a dog, between her and crumbs it definatly needs it! I tend to clean the floors once a week with bleach, like Lisa if there's little bits need cleaning say where foods been dropped I'll clean with a wipe!

Ok seems like you do what i was thinking, sweep/hoover everyday and mop once a week, and just do the little bits each day. That's managable.

I sweep about three times a day & mop almost every day!!

i should hoover everyday as the dog and children are crummy and hairy ! but i dont ! , prob mop about once a week ,, the bedrooms i only hoover and mop every couple weeks as they quite simply dont need it more often
i do need to start hoovering my stair carpet more often as you can see every bot of fluff on it and it looks so much nicer hoovered

my kitchen is tiled and it gets mopped everyday.

my wooden floor gets done about once a week as its the expensive oak stuff and it never looks dirty I only do it once a week because I know it must be dirty

Our.kitchen floor is stone tiles. i mop every week and sweep when other needs it. the rest of the down stairs is that wood flooring and that gets done every two days

I hate mopping i think its one of the worse things things ever and i only have tiled kitchen n bathroom floors xx

I hoover daily but just clean it once a week altho bathroom gets done more xx

i just hate cleaning in general, but i got laminate downstairs and thats brushed every dayish and then kitchen is mopped when needed.

rich has the job of hoovering upstairs and he does that definatley on a saturday and sometime s in the week too.

did i say i hate cleaning lol
